Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort

What an amazing hotel. It has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, with great service and friendly staff. The absolute highlight is the private beach—beautiful, peaceful, clean, and with plenty of sunbeds. The sea is also stunning: clear and clean. If you’re looking to meet new people or socialize, this might not be the right place, as most of the hotel guests are Russian and tend to keep to themselves. However, if you’re simply looking to fully relax and de-stress, this is the perfect spot. It’s a very beautiful resort, and the food and breakfast buffet are delicious and well organized.

After a flight and a one-hour drive to the hotel, our experience got off to a frustrating start. It took over an hour at the front desk to check in for three rooms—not due to a line, but because of how the process was handled. We had requested a room close to the elevator for a medical reason, but the staff didn’t seem to understand and instead kept showing us room photos on an iPad. Management did come over to assist, but unfortunately, that didn’t resolve the issue. While we waited at the restaurant, the general manager and her assistant came by to apologize, which we appreciated. However, when we finally received our room, it was the farthest one from the elevator, and we had to return to the front desk to explain everything again. The front desk clearly needs better training, and the handling of the situation by management was disappointing. To add to the frustration, our friends received a written apology the next day, while we did not. That said, the rest of the staff were very friendly, and the beach itself was absolutely beautiful.

Excellent breakfast. Staff superb. Stunning beach. Large rooms. Plenty of different dining options. Excellent sports activities included.

Resort is a little old and some areas could do with more attention to detail. But doesnt affect the overall quality of the resort

La situation et la beauté du site

Climatisation, trop bruyante et insonorisation insuffisante

We stayed for 5 nights in room 544. Very large room and an immense balcony, with a lovely view of the pool and the private beach. The property is fantastic. One of the largest pools in Thailand (although points off for no jacuzzi). The property is ringed by hills so it feels super secluded, away from it all. Beach sand is so soft, and lots of nice amenities. I did struggle with the food and the service. There are numerous restaurants on property with different types of cuisine, but none of them had great food. And the service was very difficult. Thee was actually too many wait staff constantly milling around, hovering over you, trying to take your plate too soon, etc. It felt very invasive. But when you wanted assistance with something, none of them knew what to do. Lots of apologizing but no results. Most of them seemed very new to their roles. And the entertainment each night down by the pool restaurant was extremely odd.

It was such a beautiful property. We had the breakfast plan and the food was excellent with a huge variety of choices. The staff were incredible! Kind, funny, helpful and outstanding!! The ‘private’ beach was so great!!
