Residenza d'epoca Il Cassero

De locatie was prachtig. Nog beter dan op de foto's. Je kan de toren in (niet toegankelijk voor niet gasten) waarbij je over het hele gebied kan kijken.. De kamer was mega ruim en het bed was top. Als je binnen komt is het net alsof je in een museum binnenkomt. De tuin is prachtig en je zit binnen in de stad. Je bent zo bij het zwembad en je bent binnen een uurtje bij bijna alle grote steden in Toscane. De gastvrouw spreek vloeiend Engels en is heel erg behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is super goed geregeld en ook leuk omdat je bij verschillende tentjes komt. En dit allemaal voor een goede prijs. Ik raad dit echt 100% aan. Wij hebben hier echt een top verblijf gehad.

Alles was goed geregeld! Dus eigenlijk niets.

The rooms at Residenza d’Epoca Il Cassero were beautiful and spacious. The location in the beautiful town of Lucignano was wonderful, perfectly located for our day trips to the Val d’Orcia, Siena and Firenze. The pool about a 15mins walk was very appreciated in the July temperatures of 32-38C. Also, the breakfast offered at the nearby caffe (not the nearest one).

There were a few things that lowered our rating aka experience: 1) there is NO A/C in the rooms even though on the description of the Facilities it states: “Single-room AC for Guest Accommodation”, 2) There is NO parking on site even though there is a huge parking area (see photo) within the gates of the property. Some how with great difficulty you have to find public parking near the property and 3) We stayed a total of 7 days and asked for housekeeping for 1 day without success.

Keuken op zolder was veel te heet en hierdoor onpraktisch. Ventilator begane grond was stuk. Zwembad ver weg was jammer.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas ganz besonderes. Es ist eine alte Burg, eingebettet mit dem Burginnenring. Die Schlüsselübergabe war einfach super, völlig unkompliziert und schnell. Für das Frühstück hat man Karten erhalten und konnte sich zwischen 3 möglichen Optionen (Cafés) fußläufig entscheiden. Der Pool war ca. 1,2-1,4 km entfernt, in einer traumhaft schönen Landschaft. Er ist riesig und sehr sauber. Liege Möglichkeiten und Sonnenschirme sind ausreichend vorhanden.

Leider gab es keine Klimaanlage, nur 2 Ventilatoren. Bei Hitze ist es daher sehr beschwerlich. Wir haben nachts die Fenster offen gelassen. Leider kühlten die Räume nicht runter, dafür haben die Moskitos uns geliebt.

The historic building is something very special, the location was perfect to not only explore Lucignano but the wider surrounding regions. We were taken aback by the beauty of the building and it’s setting. The apartment was ideal to base ourselves for a couple of days. Massimo was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay which ensured we made the most of our time in Lucignano. Breakfast was provided at a choice of 3 local cafe’s all within 1 minutes walk of the property which worked well. The pool was beautiful and perfect for cooling off after a day exploring in the hot Tuscan sun. Only a couple of minutes drive from the property it was easy to find and had everything you could need to enjoy some quality time by the pool. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend it as a place to enjoy a memorable stay in Tuscany.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and had to really think hard for areas for improvement. I found the bed to be quite hard (however my partner had no issues here), the air conditioning didn’t appear to be as effective as it could have been and lastly, again more personal preference, but the pool did attract it’s fair share of fly’s and spiders which could do with a daily clean up before any use. However, given it’s beautiful countryside location, this isn’t unexpected from an external pool and it certainly did not take anything away from the experience for us.

Wir hatten das Apartment mit zwei Schlafzimmern. Das war ideal für uns als Familie. Die Unterkunft ist in einem beeindruckenden alten Gebäude, das Teil der Stadtmauer ist. In direkter Nähe befinden sich, Bars, Lebensmittelladen, Eisdiele und Restaurants. Der Pool ist eher in Fahrentfernung. Dafür aber groß und mit toller Aussicht.

Eine besondere Unterkunft in einem alten Stadtpalast, wunderschön eingerichtet, sehr sauber , sehr freundlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber Massimo und auf Nachfrage konnte auch der alte Stadtturm zum Ausblick über den Ort bestiegen werden. Für das regionale Frühstück gab es Gutscheine in den nächstliegenden Cafés. Sehr zu empfehlen als Ausgangspunkt in die vielen umliegenden Ziele wie Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza und und und

Tutto meraviglioso e comodissimo, nella residenza sembra di essere in un’altra epoca.. mentre la zona piscina è TOP!!!! perfetto per rigenerarsi anche solo per un weekend !!!

Tutto benissimo!!! purtroppo così e così solo x il tempo che non è stato magnanimo è ha piovuto ogni giorno.
