Location (in Lucignano), historical building (from 1600) and tower (from 1400 -magnificent view!) and magnificent surrounding areas.

Amazing place and a perfect location to stay when visiting the area. Massino and his wife are very lovely, well organised and caring hosts who ensured we had a pleasant stay. Because of the interior, you have a feeling that you are staying overnight in a castle or a museum that normally would be available only for visiting. Private swimming pool nearby available to guests only was great. Access to the tower with an amazing view was a nice surprise as well. I highly recommend the place and truly hope to visit it again. Thank you!

Fantástica experiencia de poder alojarse en un edificio con historia. Conserva mobiliario y decoración antigua, que quizá no lo hacen tan práctico y confortable, pero está en harmonía con el resto. Muy limpio. Jardín espectacular. Ubicación en la entrada del pueblo, con comercios y restaurantes a un minuto a pié. La piscina está a unos 5 minutos en coche, que aunque pueda parecer una pega no los es: compensa por estar en un entorno tranquilo y con vistas espectaculares. Amabilidad del anfitrión. Muy recomendable.

Cocina poco equipada.

- we really like our room, it was clean and had all the amenities we needed - communication with landlord was smooth - air conditioning was installed in the room (which I assume is a newer thing, compared to previous reviews), which was great - the building is old, but has a pleasant atmosphere - almost like living in a chateau - the location is really great - it is in the center of a small village but there are some good pubs/cafes/restaurants, also the garden that belongs to the property is really nice and there is also a tower that belongs to the property and you can see a nice view from the top sunset - you get a voucher for breakfast and you can choose from three different cafes where you want to eat (the small minus is that you have to ask several times to get what you want) - in walking distance (max 20 mins) is also private pool which can be used (with WC, mini fridge..)

- the accommodation has been in 3rd floor, for some people the stairs can be an issue - nice thing to have would be some shared washing machine (but some laundry is in close town)

Massimo provided excellent communications before we arrived to make sure check in was super smooth. Nothing too much trouble, we were able to borrow an iron as we were in town for a wedding and our clothes were creased in our cases. We arrived at the property and it's truly beautiful, so much wow factor. The location is brilliant as you're right next to the gardens and portico to access the walled town. Great parking and restaurant access. The breakfast choices are superb, and having all a kitchen in the room and a carrefour so close, we were able to do exactly what we wanted. The Duke room is very, very comfortable, the blackout shutters allowing for excellent sleep. The antique furniture provides a luxury and historic feel. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

La posizione un ottimo avamposto in Val di Chiana, con Val d'Orcia a due passi. La residenza bellissima e ben tenuta con camere rispettose della loro storia e i gestori gentilissimi e disponibili.

Una cosa che si può migliorare è il bagno, con pochi accessori, un boiler un po' piccolo e in generale freddo. Può essere un valore aggiunto quando fa molto caldo ma nel weekend in cui siamo venuti noi con temperature un po' sotto la media, non comodissimo.

This is superb accommodation in a fantastic location. We were a group of 11 who booked 5 apartments for 4 nights.. Communication with Massimo and Bruna prior to our visit was excellent. During our stay, Bruna did an amazing job looking after us. This historic building is unique and it was a pleasure having the opportunity to stay in it. Lucignano is a beautiful town situated in stunning countryside. The position of Residenza d'Epoca Ill Cassero is perfect. I would highly recommend and look forward to a return visit.
