Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort on Sand Key

Meli is the best housekeeper. She's been helping us since my daughter was adopted her over 10 years ago we have not been here in five years and when we got here today she had a bracelet that my daughter left here five years ago for her!!! Love her and this place

This is over ten stays at this hotel. Stayed when it was a Radisson and happy when it became a Marriot. Wouldnt stay anywhere else. Mikel greeted us immediately and we checked in with him each day. Glad we got to know him. Olsa in housekeeping went above and beyond to take care of us and our room. Patti greeted us each day with a smile and great table for breakfast. Katie was our server each morning and gave us excellent service. (We requested her!) One morning I watched from our balcony as Janice cleaned and set up pool area. No one did as much as she did, cleaning and wiping down all the chairs and tables. I was so impressed I went to towel station and asked her name. So appreciative of the service and great hotel during Memorial Day Weekend stay.

This is our first time staying at the Mariott at Sand Key. First off, the Staff was great at this hotel! Sophia at the front desk made us feel right at home and did a fine job at meeting all of my requests while staying here. Housekeeping was another gem at the hotel. Our housekeeper Ayelene was probably the best housekeeper of any hotel that we’ve ever stayed at. She was very friendly and did an excellent job at keeping our room well supplied and clean! She promptly cleaned our room everyday and it was fresh and ready to go when we returned from our days activity. As for the facility itself there is room for improvement. This is why it didn’t get a full 5 star review. The room itself was very nice. The fixtures and furniture were in excellent shape. The only issues that we had with the room was that the carpet could have used a good cleaning. You could see that it was on the soiled side with some stains visible. The beds were full sized which means that they were small. With the size of the room, I thought that they could have fitted queen size beds in them to make it more comfortable to sleep. The only other complaint about the room is the shower control fixture. The location of the control is on the side wall. Normally all of the fixtures to control water flow and temperature are on the wall facing you under the showerhead. This was not and I bumped it several times with my elbow. This is a bad location for the control knob! They were giving the hotel a new exterior paint job which looked fabulous. But they need to pay attention to the outside deck around the pool area! It was in desperate need of a good power washing. It looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in sometime! You could see the traffic patterns of dirt all around the pool and the walkway that leads to the hotel! The staff does a great job at making sure that all of the tables and chairs are straighten up and everything is in order for the new day but the flooring needs to be attended to!! Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was top notch but the facilities could use more attention.

marriott suites Sand key Clearwater FLORIDA what a perfect holiday from start to finish. Every time I have visited this hotel, I am greeted like family. They really spoil me. From the concierge Mikel who looks after you superbly. Nothing is too much. So helpful and kind. Too all the gang on the reception, to Shiley baking me cakes and bringing me slices from home . To Brennan in the coffee shop. All those who look after the bar. To all the gang at the pool. To every one in the buffett breakfast bar for looking after me. Mike in the catering . ,From the cleaning organiser and those who looked after my room, what can I say. My Suite was clean . The whole of the Hotel was looked after efficiently The bell boys were really helpful and kind. Wilmer, Michael, scott, Josh,Joel. Tom the assistant manager was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Didn't see a lot of Michael the head manager, but always friendly. I couldn't fault anything, and If I missed anyone out, please excuse me.as I am nearly 83 years old and travel on my own. 😂 BUT, I will keep visiting as long as I can. I have nothing to complain about THIS Hotel.
