I enjoyed my stay!

This is a great property and the breakfast buffet will make you feel like you’re on an island vacation. For dinner and/or evening relaxing there is a superb bourbon bar with an abundance of choices. The hotel was clean and nicely appointed. Parking is $8 per night. We didn’t know that when we booked the reservation.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at the Louisville Marriott East, particularly in how they handled my confirmed reservation for Kentucky Derby 2026 weekend. Months ago, I booked a room through Marriott's official site, received a confirmation, and made travel plans around that booking. Recently, I was contacted by hotel staff and informed that due to a "system error," my reservation was canceled because it had been made during a "blackout date." They said they wouldn’t honor the reservation or the original rate — even though it was their system that allowed the booking in the first place. This isn’t just a minor inconvenience. During a major event like the Derby, lodging is in incredibly high demand. Canceling confirmed bookings this late, and offering only vague promises of “rebooking options” at higher rates, feels completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It puts customers at a major disadvantage and shows a clear lack of accountability. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected better. A confirmed reservation should mean just that — confirmed. If a system glitch caused this issue, the burden shouldn't fall on the customer. I hope Marriott takes steps to make this right for all affected guests. Until then, I’d strongly advise anyone booking during special events to proceed with caution — and consider alternate hotels that stand by their commitments.

Property is clean and good ambiance. I did not like about this place is pillows. It stinks , did not look fresh or washed pillow covers.

Enjoyed my stay. Great service. Wish the Hot tub worked while there is my only complaint.

Cleaniness

Breakfast on Sunday the charging to room was out of order at buffet. Had to get money from atm and pay that charge also. Wasn’t told until after had food. Could have went out at a cheaper expense.
