Too many dogs barking at each other in the hallway. The cooler where the milk and yogurts was stored was extremely warm. Temperature should be no higher than 40° and I'm sure it was at least 50 plus degrees. Consequently, we never used anything out of that cooler. Housekeeping tried to open the door while we were in there. We had not asked for a housekeeping and they never knocked. That is poor service. We had stayed there 2 years ago. And everything had deteriorated since then.

The first thing that hit me as soon as I walked in the lobby was the smell. It smelled amazing!! Sheila made sure my husband and I had a nice stay. Such a great and friendly staff. Quality hotel. Clean rooms and linens. Also our house keeper April was nice and attentive to our stay This is how I remember staying at Howard Johnson at as a kid thank you for the memories!

Never saw a sign regarding not serving Locals in a motel before! welcome to West Virginia!! Staff was fine and probably packing!
