A bit of a maze upstairs

I had a fantastic couple of days in Falmouth staying at Membly Hall Hotel whilst settling my daughter into the local university. My room was spacious and immaculate, the staff were welcoming and very friendly, and the included breakfast ranged from continental style to full English. I sat in the sea facing sun room for a few hours and enjoyed a sandwich platter from the bar menu. Happy to recommend this hotel for solo travel, as it was really comfortable and friendly.

This was my third stay here this year as I was originally looking for property, the two subsequent stays were in connection with my move to the area. Each stay has been lovely.

Stayed for 1 night whilst in town visiting University. To be honest the hotel was exactly what we expected - seaside hotel, on sea front, old style room decor & furnishings with an en suite squeezed into the corner. Great sea views from our first floor room, from the bar & breakfast room which was nice, also plenty of free parking. Staff were all very nice & friendly, but hotel has a “coach trip” vibe & clientele. Price for room was ‘going rate’ for Falmouth, & will say cooked breakfast was nice. Pleasant enough if you know what to expect.

Food was very plain and not tasty - especially. The evening meal. Desert was ok.

Rather lukewarm welcome after our long journey, ground floor room a little eccentric, bedroom window looked direct onto sunroom where others were sitting. Threateningly large £400 charge for loss of key!
