AUGBThe ambience and facilities, the excellent quality of food, wonderfully cooked and presented, the knowledge and assistance from the owner when required, the log fire, candles and range of drinks available and comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated bedrooms. It is the only B&B in which I have stayed where I have had breakfast by the log burner listening to songs sung in French. 10/10 for originality what a start to the day, along with the excellent breakfast!
I replied to an email 3 days before the stay, confirming that we would like to eat in the restaurant. However the owner phoned me as I was travelling down, as he hadn't received my response. I checked my emails and it had been sent ( via Booking, com.) Matt re checked his and said he hadn't got it. Perhaps the system needs to be reviewed as we were left with the choice of eating at 6.30 or 8.30pm.
