Unable to have an evening meal as an event taking place so found a pub for food close by. No tv in the room which we weren't aware of on booking.

GBA real gem. 'Proper' pub with fires, armchairs, great ales, beautifully prepared food served by attentive and friendly staff. The rooms are intrinsically basic but improved by tasteful dressing and attention to detail.
NZThe atmosphere was great. Comfortable room and good location for exploring Yorkshire. The food for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Matt and his staff have made this a wonderful place to stay...and eat!

GBA quirky pub, no airs or graces, great atmosphere. Rooms and bathroom was clean.
Food very over priced for what you got.. £35 steak and chips.. no veg offered I thought was bad. No TV in room. No milk had to ask. Usually always places at the side of the kettle, Breakfast you shared jams out of jars for all the quests not very hygienic. Dining area needs cleaning specially were you eat.

I contacted them by telephone and email to tell them that I was not able to attend and to let my accommodation go. No response. The following day I was awoken by a angry Paul saying that he was out of pocket. So I paid him the full amount £127 even though I had contacted them about my inability to attend. Surely a establishment like that should have a facility of a answer machine? Not enough staff there to check their email?
