The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The location is fantastic, offering a sea view. The bed mattress is incredibly comfortable. The breakfast is okay, and the staff is friendly. This is much better than I had anticipated.

We only stayed for one night, so we didn’t need a refrigerator. It’s not a big deal.

The number of dogs staying at the hotel was ridiculous Limited parking which staff used

We booked a room with a sea view & we certainly got that, wonderful

No complimentary water, no fridge, bedroom furniture looked unfinished

The position of this hotel is good with great sea views from dining area and garden

So many stairs! I made us a late booking and picked a room in the annexe thinking it would be ground floor but no it was up 2 flights of stairs. I couldn’t find anywhere it said it was upstairs. I am registered disabled with poor mobility so obviously it was unsuitable. The staff did give us a different room with “not too many stairs”, they were steep and had tall risers which caused great pain. At the top of the stairs was an even bigger step to reach our room, then a small step into the room. The step into the room has dark carpet and not easy to see. My husband tripped over this step. The carpet on the stairs was threadbare in places. There was only one bannister but could do with 2. The issue with the room location made our stay very uncomfortable as it felt we were trapped in our room due to mobility problems. It may be better if it was clearer where rooms are located and the fact there is no lift. Breakfast was very busy and too many people trying to access buffet in quite a small place. We both stay and eat at various Inn Collection hotels but this one we won’t be returning to.

Excellent breakfast. Superb location. Perfect view from our bedroom.

It would be better if the bath and shower were in separate units. [Hotel's] Limited parking space Hardly any security, anyone from outside could walk into the restaurant for free breakfast, and also into the bedroom floors

It was extremely hot in the pub with heating on and the rooms too we had to sleep with a fan on
