Pestana Churchill Bay

Great atmosphere at Pestana Churchill Bay. The Service was amazing, everyday. The breakfast was delicious with a breath taking view over the bay.

Très bel hôtel parfaitement situé à quelques kilomètres de Funchal, au calme. Chambre propre et spacieuse. Personnel très sympathique et réactif.

Great location, friendly and helpful reception staff. Lovely pool and terrace area.

1. The rooms are small, not much space -glad we had a balcony 2. Poor quality of towels -see photos 3. Breakfast was chaotic with no system. I think this is partly due to the fact that there was different staff each morning. No one was proactive and only reacted when asked. On one morning I asked for some tea on 4 occasions, when it arrived the pot was half full and cold. It had been lifted from another table that had been used! Staff do not clear used items from your table until you have left leaving you with very little room. On one occasion I handed a waitress a used plate and knife and she handed me the used knife back to reuse! If you needed more cutlery you had to get it from another table that was set up. On one occasion a waiter (Leandro) provided excellent service - he should be in charge of staff training! 4. Rain shower head did not work

Overall an amazing stay at this cute little hotel on a fabulous location. Very nice staff and great service.

Frühstücksbüffet, Pool, freundlicher Zimmerservice, Lage ist toll

Es gibt keine vernünftige Trennung von Toilette und Zimmer, es ist sehr „hellhörig“. Bei offener Balkontür im Erdgeschosszimmer sitzt man quasi auf der Straße, die tagsüber sehr laut ist. Belästigend sind die „Einweiser“/Bettler am zu nutzenden öffentlichen Parkplatz, meine Frau hatte etwas Angst.

Schön gelegen, sehr angenehmes und entspanntes und freundliches Personal, Zimmer, Frühstück und Umgebung sind außergewöhnlich. Ein relativ intimer Ort, angenehm in der Größe.

This is a brilliant hotel that ticks all the holiday boxes - fabulous welcome, professional staff, beautiful rooms, stunning location, quiet and peaceful, the sound of the sea and waves at night, great breakfast, fantastically clean, lovely rooftop terrace and sun loungers. So so good. All of it. Special mention for Isabel and Daniel - front of house service managers - who were both really excellent. We stayed for one week and loved it all. We rarely say we will be back as we like to visit different places but this hotel and place is something special - we will be back! Obrigado team Pestana Churchill Bay!

My partner and I recently spent four nights at Pestana Churchill Bay and enjoyed it very much. The hotel’s position in Câmara de Lobos is ideal. Our room and its balcony offered a wonderful view of the bay! We were particularly impressed by the standard of cleanliness throughout the property. The service was consistently professional and attentive. We would certainly recommend Pestana Churchill Bay to anyone seeking a refined and well-managed hotel in this beautiful part of the island.
