Everyone working in the front desk is very polite, professional, and top notch. The hotel itself is immaculate, and beautifully adored. You cannot beat the location, you’re right on the ocean. I will stay here as often as possible.

I posted this review through the site I booked with, and am reposting here. I agree that the staff is definitely rude, uncaring, absent, and generally incompetent. It has been our tradition to book a very short stay at this hotel to celebrate a birthday. During our last visit, we requested a late checkout and were advised it was at 1 pm. At the time of "normal" (11 AM) checkout, we were at the pool, believing we still had 2 hours before checkout, when housekeeping simply entered our room, while a teenage girl in our party was alone and still sleeping, and informed us that the "front desk said we were already checked out." We immediately approached management, who informed us that the employee who submitted this on our behalf was "wrong" and that "late checkout was always at 12," effectively admitting they knew we hadn't checked out. They would not budge from this position. They did not make any other attempt to inform us of this error anytime, nor did they make any attempt to accommodate their error- they just made their mistake our problem, telling us basically to get out as quickly as possible, and appeared to be using housekeeping to deliver this message to a teenage girl. After demanding they address the lack of professionalism, the GM, "Julia," begrudgingly refunded some room charges and offered a nominal discount on the room—and condescendingly stated, "Sorry that [we] felt that way" about what had occurred. Needless to say, we will not be returning & looking to start a new tradition somewhere else next year. The sad part is that this really could have been easily remedied, and they would have a 5-star review if they had simply honored the checkout time that they mistakenly gave, a one-hour difference. Mr. Vernon is marketing this facility as an upscale, exclusive venue to celebrate some of life's most memorable events. However, the inability to acknowledge and remedy their own error, and perhaps the thinly veiled money grab (they said they needed the room for a "big event"), makes this place just like a flea-bag in a fur coat.

Friendly staff, very clean, great location

Shower door had opening between class doors which soaked the floor. Also you had to get in the shower to turn it on and as expected the water is super cold when you turn it on.
