Directions to the property: When you get off the boat you will be on Pebbly Beach Road. Go to the right toward town. Crescent Avenue is the harbor front pedestrian only street (it runs along the waterfront with shops and restaurants). Continue past the green "Pleasure Pier" in the center of downtown, approximately 4 blocks, to Metropole Avenue. Make a left on Metropole Avenue, go 1/3 block up and the property is on the right-hand side. Across the street are the Santa Catalina Island Company offices. Catalina Island Inn is located on an island and the island is accessible by a hour boat ride. Please reach out to the ferry operators below to book your boat ride to the island: - Catalina Express: largest company also has the most boats and most departures. They operate from San Pedro, Dana Point and two ports in Long Beach. "Hotel is not clean"

For the price we payed for this hotel I am a bit disappointed. The cleanliness and up keep of the hotel is not there. There were stained on our bed sheets, the carpet felt very gross. When coming back in forth to the hotel house keeping had sheets piled up in the hallways and trash so visible for the guests while they were cleaning. We’ve stayed in many hotels and when house keeping is cleaning rooms they are not leaving dirty sheets piled and trash in big black trash cans around the hallways. We will definitely never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. The bottom bathroom closest to the lobby was absolutely disgusting.

3 flights of stairs with no one to help carry luggage. Very old pillows. The common, downstairs bathroom was filthy. Staff was friendly. They need an earlier check in.

"Decent but pricey for what you get"

Great location. Overall comfortable hotel - bed was definitely comfortable. Be advised there is no elevator. We were in the highest farthest room (lols!). Hotel is dated. Service was just ok. Room cleaning didn’t happen until really late in the day - so after being out all day it was kind of a bummer to feel like we couldn’t chill in our room. And we had to push for beach towels since laundry was on a different floor than reception and if they were out at reception they didn’t want to make the trek to grab clean ones. They do have luggage storage if you arrive before check-in or have time before your ferry after check-out. So that’s definitely a bonus.

The room is very small there’s no space whatsoever, bathroom is literally a slither of space INACCESSIBLE to the disabled and handicap. There’s no elevator to take you from floor to floor there’s only stairs. We were given a new room due to my mobility issues with the spacing but it was a bit dirty, had stains etc and just wasn’t meeting my needs. Of course they refused a refund when i brought my concern to management even tho Expedia did try to help me get my money back as I couldn’t stay because i could not get around after recently having surgery.
