Catalina Island Inn

The staff was great! We arrived early, so we dropped our bags and went for lunch. Reception called us when our room was ready. When we returned to the hotel, we got a free room upgrade, due to a cancellation. The whole staff was very friendly. The hotel is located near the center of town. Walking distance to everything, including the ferry (about 10 min). Our room was large and comfortable.

Carpets are usually not a good thing at a seaside hotel, where there are a lot of water activities. They were a bit musty. Pillows were a bit flimsy, and fell into the space between the bed and the headboard.

We've been to Avalon several times but this was our first stay at Catalina Island Inn. It was a nice stay. Hotel is clean and comfortable and located close to shops, beach and food choices. We had a first floor room with private patio. It was nice to have our own outdoor space. I would probably spend a bit more for one of the higher rooms with a balcony next time. All in all, I would recommend as a nice place to stay when visiting Avalon.

Shower flooded, rooms were really dusty, bed sheets were dirty when we arrived the 1st night, floors not vacuumed enough

Lola the front desk host was super lovely and welcoming as well as the evening host.

The air conditioner vent was leaking. I found a bug on my towel. The coffee pods were already poked by the coffee machine. There was a spider on the ceiling. We thought it was weird the mini fridge and coffeee station was in the bathroom. The mini fridge had black mold and the handle was very dirty.
