Please note: The property does not have an elevator. Please note: Parking is available off site for an additional fee. Directions to the property: When you get off the boat you will be on Pebbly Beach Road. Go to the right toward town. Crescent Avenue is the harbor front pedestrian only street (it runs along the waterfront with shops and restaurants). Continue past the green "Pleasure Pier" in the center of downtown, approximately 4 blocks, to Metropole Avenue. Make a left on Metropole Avenue, go 1/3 block up and the property is on the right-hand side. Across the street are the Santa Catalina Island Company offices. Catalina Island Inn is located on an island and the island is accessible by a hour boat ride. Please reach out to the ferry operators below to book your boat ride to the island: - Catalina Express: largest company also has the most boats and most departures. They operate from San Pedro, Dana Point and two ports in Long Beach. Staff was friendly

I wanted to make a cup of coffee in my room but the machine was dirty like. The room was a little beat up. The bed was noisy. The lamp shades had stains in them. The dresser was damaged and had screws holding part of it together

What a disaster. I chose this place for my wife’s birthday and anniversary, and was disgusted. For the price, you would hope you wouldn’t find the prior tenet’s trash in the room, sand in the sheets, and a working toilet. Yes, the toilet in the room did not work. Their solution, take water out of the sink and fill the toilet in order to flush it. Be warned the rooms are disgusting. We paid extra for a balcony and ocean view. The balcony was covered in bird poop and the view was obscured by apartments and rooftops. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in. We had friends that reserved an AirBnB, and we ended up hanging out with them. Do your research, and stay somewhere else!!

The guys at the front desk were kind and they let us keep our bags in their baggage room ahead of check in and after checkout, which was very helpful!

"HORRIBLE. HAVING TO PEE IN SHOWER AND GO USE THE ONLY WORKING TOILET ON FIRST FLOOR FOR ENTIRE HOTEL"

TOILETS NOT OPERATIONAL IN THE TWO ROOMS I RENTED FOR 6 PEOPLE. WE HAD ONE, YES ONE WORKING COMMUNAL TOILET ON DOWNSTAIRS LEVEL FOR ALL, ENTIRE HOTEL GUEST USE. WHEN WE ASKED WHAT?? WE WERE TOLD BY THE MAN ON DUTY “ BLAME THE CITY THE WATER PIPES BUSTED” WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED WHEN WE DROPPED OUR BAGS AWAITING LATER CHECK IN BECAUSE WE WOULD HAVE GONE ELSWHERE. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, WE ASKED ABOUT LATE CHECKOUT AND IT WAS A FIRM NO. THIS WAS NOT AN INEXPENSIVE HOTEL EITHER. PARTIAL REFUND AT LEAST IS WARRANTED.
