Bay Cottage

Ed met us when we pulled in and were trying to locate our cottage. He was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ed showed us the way and explained every detail of the place. There were many well nice touches waiting for us, including: delicious home made cookies, orange juice, pancake mix and syrup for breakfast. And a special surprise that I won't ruin for you. The cottage was small, but very charming, cozy and warm. In the morning, Ed showed us the rest of the property, which was gorgeous. The tomatoes in the garden were scrumptious. And, of course, beautiful views of the bay. We would have loved to have used the kayaks available on the property, but we did not have time. We would love to come back and spend more time here.

This was a spectacular location, looking out over Discovery Bay to the Olympic mountains. The place was well-equipped with a full bath, full kitchen, living room and dining room and bedroom. The host was very helpful and gave us recommendation of places to eat, to visit, etc. and frequently asked if we needed anything and gave us his personal phone number so we could reach him immediately. The living room had a full row of windows allowing an expansive view of the scenery. Note we did not stay in the Bay Cottage because of a plumbing problem so were given the Seaside unit

The property was the lower level of the main residence and was a bit rustic. Also one day he greeted us wearing his MAGA hat. I was on vacation to take a break from politics so did not appreciate having it put in my face.

Ed, the owner, is great, very welcoming. Nice property, great deck with view of the water. Well equipped kitchen and the cabin had lots of nice touches like a welcome plate of homemade cookies and some breakfast fixings.

What a find!! Ed's cottage is wonderful, the cottage itself is cozy and cute and the property has lovely views and beach access. Ed was very welcoming and kind and even included the tide schedule for our stay as well as local recommendations. Add in the close proximity to Port Townsend and the cottage had a full kitchen, it was absolutely wonderful. I'll be back, that's a guarantee.

This is a really great space if you have a larger group and are booking out both cottages, or are looking for a more social experience, because all of the guest stay spaces are right next to the main house (where the owner and his family live) so while it was very quiet at night, it didn't feel super private. It's also good to know beforehand that the cleaning fee is not included in what you pay on booking.com, so that's another charge before you leave.

Beautiful property! A bit of a hiccup with check-in due to not going directly to the property website when reserving. Otherwise so welcoming and friendly! The Jenny cottage was perfect for a solo traveler or couple. So great to have breakfast and dinner right on the front porch with such an awesome view. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful location. Sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds, sea, occasional seal and even a possum was such a treat. Scott was incredibly welcoming.

the gorgeous views of discovery bay were great but what made it even better was the beautiful gardening loaded with flowers surrounding the cabin. Ed was a fantastic host. We could’ve sat and talked with him for hours.

It isn’t walking distance to anything but that was OK because we didn’t mind a short drive into town.
