Pennswoods Inn

Hat dogs was put in a dog room. The carpet had so much urine in it you couldn't breath. The sheets weren't clean, blood stains. The bathtub was filthy when water was on black stuff came from behind the shower wall. I realize it was a 2 star hotel, but this hotel should be shut down

Room was cheap. That's about it.

Did not receive room we had reserved (queen bed). Received a room with two double beds instead. There was a mixup with the reservation, as I had stated we would like early check-in in my note to the motel, but they had me marked down as arriving at 9pm. Not sure if this was my fault, or booking's fault. They wanted to charge me $50 for early checkin, so I said forget it I will be back after the faire and checkin then. Suddenly the price dropped to $15. Hmm. Plumbing in the bathroom was subpar - the shower at fist was cold as the pipes had been reversed. The hot water was in the cold spot, and the cold water in the hot spot on the shower handle. Toilet kept running. The front door to the room did not fit properly to the frame, and there was a spare room with junk in it. This is a place that rents weekly apparently, and there were several units occupied by full timers. I am coming back in September to the ren faire and booked in the nearby Days Inn, which is costing me a whopping $30 more. But at least it will be a proper hotel.

Let me preface this by saying I am not picky. I don't mind old facilities, I really just wanted a cleanish place to stay that had a shower. When we entered the room, the smell of smoke and general stale air greeted us. The dull lamps gave us some light to navigate by, however I had to use my phone flashlight to plug in the mini fridge to the overloaded outlet. The bed had no fitted sheet and the flat sheet and comforter were questionable. There was dirt and hair in every corner. No fired detector, it was missing from the ceiling. The sink has no hot water and the bathroom floor had hair and yellow grime. I didn't test the shower because by the time we saw the filth we mentioned above, we settled for eating the cost of our planned two day stay and got a late night reservation at the Days Inn next door (good reviews to them). I don't know how this place is still in business, there is no way this meets any type of health code. So, save yourselves the decision of staying here. If you are trying to save money, try to find a campsite, it will be cleaner.

Room was dirty, only towel and a bath mat, lack of toilet paper, and bed didn't fir frame hit rods with my ankle everytime I walked past bed

Smelly, carpet was disgusting and sticky, cockroaches in the room, wi-fi didn't work, bed caved in

I’m happy to have experienced a kind atmosphere from the staff that were very welcoming and helpful!
