Best Western Hickory

Extremely clean rooms and bath.

I can't say enough good things about this Best Western! The staff was gracious, helpful, caring! The breakfast was wonderful! The beds were very comfortable! Wonderful smell throughout the whole place! Beautiful scenery! Beautiful lobby to sit in and visit or relax nice and big!

This place was great! The breakfast buffet was amazing. Very friendly,

No smoke alarm/ vending machines take money, tv didn’t work, homeless/criminal elements loitering on property.

My toilet was broken and made noise all night. Bathroom was run down and poorly repaired.Rm 159 needs to be closed to consumers.

My principal complaint is I checked in around 6 PM and the hotel was still half empty. I asked for an inside room or a second level room and was told the hotel was completely booked. There’s no way every room on the second floor was occupied when I checked in nor was there anyway that the rooms on the inside were 100% occupied. Most of the rooms on the second floor were dark when I checked in. Just a bit aggravated that they were so accommodating. I’ll not stay there again.

Housekeeping never came to change the sheets or clean my room the 4 nights o spent there.

The Best Western hotel at Hickory, NC was a wonderful place to rest for the night. The front desk staff was so friendly, helpful, kind, and accommodating. I might have looked a mess, but the front desk representative was super kind and ready to help. My hotel room was in exceptional condition. It was up to date with fixtures, super clean, not a speck of dust in site. Each nook and cranny were clean as a button. Floor and walls were also nice and clean. yes, I noticed! They had a nice selection of food at the continental breakfast. Fresh fruit, with a nice selection of food available. Hot gravy and biscuits, hot waffles, and even some bacon. Of course, they had some cereal and other misc. breakfast items. I honestly can say this was a nicer place then some of the higher end expensive hotels. I didn't get a chance to use the exercise room or pool but glad they were available. Great job to the staff, front desk, and cleaning crew. I 100% would stay here again and most likely will when we head back through Hickory.

The Best Western is old and needs remodeled. There was no elevator, therefore we needed to go up and down steps every time. Some of the hallways door knobs we’re loose and didn’t shut properly. The air conditioner was nice and cold but was really noisey probably because it is so old.
