Residence Inn by Marriott Davenport

I was not able to stay because of a 500.00 deposit for being a local that I was not informed of at the time of making the reservation, I was told of the deposit when I was checking in. I really feel that it was because of my race because the person at the counter got the sign from under the counter after he found out that I lived here in Davenport. That’s why it wasn’t posted on the reservation site because it didn’t pertain to all guest. My wife is white and she went in the next day to get a room and she is local and she was not asked to deposit 500.00. We did not stay in the hotel just wanted to see if she would be asked to post a 500.00 deposit. We never stay in this hotel ever again and will let others know not to stay they

Clean and close to hospital

Entry doors could be automatic for less strain with luggage. Overhang would protect from the rain, sleet or snow.

Very clean room (even smelled clean!), good breakfast, friendly staff.

The room was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious.

The beds were not comfortable

Having read a few years ago that this place was being renovated, I expected it to be done by now. It is not. It’s still under construction. There’s a huge pile of ripped up concrete in front. No lobby to speak of. Not much pride of ownership here.

Loved staying at this hotel. The rooms are new with comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast was great - fresh berries for my yogurt! I appreciated how clean everything was.
