Room was really clean and comfortable including the temperature. Lovely lounge bar to have a drink after watching the show at the Symphony Hall. Loved the pool and steam room.

One small disappointment was the approach to us at the pool by the attendant. She was not present when we arrived and we DID see the note saying they were away but we would be back soon and we signed ourselves in. we could not enter the pool though as the room key did not operate it. The attendant came through very soon after and told us the room ket did not work and then said quite abruptly "that is why we leave a note". Also a bit disappointed that he same attendant, when we left, and we thanked her she just looked up, continued sucking on her drink and went "Hmm"

The beds was very hard for an accessible room. The wardrobe door was impossible to open when in a wheelchair because the doors opened onto you, as the wardrobe is in a corridor, there is not enough room to open the door when in the chair, so I could not unpack or use the safe. I suggest an accessible designer should be involved in wheelchair and spinal accessible rooms, likewise the bathroom could do with a fold down shower seat and fold down grab rails in both the shower and WC , these can clip onto dado wall trunking when required and removed when not in use so the room can be sold as both accessible or an abled bodied room.

The reception staff were not particularly helpful and as this is the first impression they should be helpful and happy, both on the phone and in person. I cammed to ask if a disabled space could be reserved, I was told that they are available on a first come first served basis, which is not helpful when you are in a wheelchairs, when I arrived I knew why this was because the systems is automated and probably run by a 3rd party company, had I have been told this I would have understood, the gentlemen on the phone was unhelpful. After the phone call and the unhelpful reception staff, the rest of the team were brilliant, but first impressions are everything.
