A great hotel in the very heart of the city. Ideal for all ammenities. Near shops restaurants Etc.

Location, luxury feeling, amenities, friendliness and accommodating staff (early check-in and late check out and complimentary bar vouchers). Faultless service .

Unexpectedly noisy due to being attached to Central Station so heard either music or announcements during our stay but this lessened during the night and when windows/shutters were closed over.

We had a lovely weekend stay. Rooms were nice, fresh and clean. I personally would had preferred not to have the glazed doors on the bathroom. Room was small but given the historic building there’s nothing that can be done about that and it wasn’t a problem anyway. On floor 5 there was next to no noise from outside. Air con worked well also. Breakfast was brilliant, clearly good quality produce used. Pancakes were a nice touch. Good deal on parking at the close by NCP. We will certainly look to return on our next visit to Glasgow.

Have lost count how many times I have stayed at the Grand, be it for work or leisure. Stayed just for the evening last week and found it to be faultless yet again, Victoria on reception was excellent. Welcoming me on the IHG status and giving me a great little form to fill out with all the things I like about the hotel, including favorite rooms etc. A really good touch considering I stay relatively regularly. Was upgraded again to a lovey set of rooms on the 5th floor, these are from the old principal days of the hotel so the furnishings are darker and more luxurious than the rather basic VOCO style of decor. The bar was extremely busy on Saturday night, while the staff do try their best I feel it could work better with regards to having queuing system, being such a long bar, and being so busy you can expect to wait at least 20 mins to be served and people will just get in front of you and push towards the bar regardless of how long you have been waiting. Being Champagne Central, the cocktail list is extensive and these take a long time to make, especially if your just wanting a pint or a bottle of something. I gave up waiting to be served and returned later in the evening. A great hotel, I do hope all the staff are safe after the devastating fire in the property adjoining the hotel and not too much damage has been done. I look forward to returning again soon.
