The Dower House Hotel

Sadly my choice of red snapper for lunch was a huge mistake! It came with skin like leather and was utterly inedible! It’s was so bad a sharp steak knife could not cut it. They did agree and offered me another dish! It came within 10/15 minutes meantime my wife had to eat her meal while I watched and then she had to watch me eat the 2nd offering! Clearly they are not empathetic to causing this wholly unacceptable situation and presented me with a full price invoice! No concessions! When pressed they offered discount of a mere £6 on an £80 plus bill! I was too sick to argue! It’s a restaurant to be avoided! My wife was ill after our first visit and now they are presenting very old fish as fresh! They can’t be trusted with food!

Lovely Hotel, welcoming staff. Large clean Room in the annex. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Breakfast was good, I can't comment on the evening meals as we didn't eat there. Short walk into Woodhall Spa.

The close location to centre. Lovely staff and room well appointed. Sparkly clean. Well worth a stay and for family occasions, perfect.

Breakfast in a smaller room that was hard to find, maybe a sign or two? Continental selection very depleted and underwhelming. Have to say though that my poached egg and smoked salmon was delicious and beautifully presented.

Excellent location, for touring the area

Comfortable room , breakfast was brilliant with a great choice of food. Evening meal was very high standard. The Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us a great place.
