Hampton Inn & Suites Lenoir, NC

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. The pillows were terrible. But overall it was a good stay. I would probably stay there again.

Quiet,peaceful little getaway

I stay at a LOT of Hampton Inns. This was perhaps the nicest. The front desk was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself was clean and modern. The fitness room was robust with SEVERAL machines and weights. Breakfast was great; lots of options!

Whenever we travel to Lenoir we always stay at The Hampton Inn and Suites. The rooms are the perfect size, the complimentary breakfast is awesome and the staff is always friendly and professional!

I booked this hotel to go to my child's graduation from App State. There were complications and they couldn't walk so we decided not to go. I tried to cancel the reservation on the app and thought I did. When my card was charged I called to get it cancelled but the hotel manager said I would have to pay the first night. She said they make no exception for extenuating circumstances and it was the owners policy. Hilton said she could have waved the policy and refunded me all the money but she was unwilling to help. I have been a Hilton honors member for many years and am very disappointed in the lack of caring and the customer service. I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this hotel.

Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. For older folks, lighting in room was too dim with no overhead lights in bedroom area. Otherwise, we were pleased with stay.

Perfect hotel no complaints, friendly staff, quick check in, clean room, great breakfast...only one suggestion..indoor pool was too cold maybe turn the heat up a little ...when its too cold for kids it must be cold!

I stayed 2 separate weeks for 3 days each week. The first week the pool was closed for repairs. This was an inconvenience because I booked it for this accommodation for my grandchildren. I found other things to do outside the hotel. The first week was fine. All the staff that I met were courteous and friendly. The dining experience is great. Those folks want to ensure that you like your food. It’s delicious. My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. I knew I would be using this motel again. Week 2 of my 3 day stay. Totally different experience. I requested the same room. It’s close to the elevator and I could get my little lady’s wheelchair in and out easy. Her bed was the same. She had no complaints but something was different with mine. I woke up around 1am with excruciating hip pain. The next morning I mentioned it to the front desk and the gentleman was very helpful. Later that afternoon I brought my grandkids in to play in the pool. Before reaching the door I hear a loud voice coming up behind us ordering that we could not go in the pool area. She continued to be very loud and rude listing all the rules as to why I couldn’t take my grandchildren in to swim. First of all she could have pulled me to the side and talked instead of humiliating us. I told her that I had already gotten permission and she wanted to know names of who gave me permission. I told her that I didn’t get the names because I didn’t know that it was going to be a problem. I told my kids to take the grandkids and leave the premises. Just before they reached the door the manager allowed us an hr. We allowed them to play 45 minutes and used the last 15 to dry so they wouldn’t track up the lobby. They left. I returned to the room to see that my bed had been addressed because it was made nicely. I went across the street to get a dozen donuts and a thank you card for the front desk. When I went to bed that night I woke up around 3am with pain again. I looked under the sheets and noticed that the only thing different about my bed was changed sheets. I reported it the next morning. I’ll be looking for a different hotel for the 3 days a week that I have to be in NC.
