Hôtel Château de l'Ile

Really sweet staff and good food. Part of the wellness area was closed off due to renovations. But is was stille really nice.

Very romantic style hotel and excellent indoor pool facility boasting also a generously sized bar and lots of cultural ambiance. However, the overall picture was clouded by slow service (or even ignorance to answer telephone calls), often slow working restaurant service staff and inferior quality of food items, especially room service breakfast. Management went into defense mode when we complained about high room temperature (it turns out the AC was centrally switched off...).

Bad unsecured internet. Smelly mildewed rooms. No river view from any room. Old delapidated furniture

Quiet classic serenity amidst a larger city setting. If you want to escape downtown Strasbourg and feel luxurious relaxation, this is your spot! Indoor pool, sauna, hot tub - and massage/spa if you like. The bar offered top-notch specialty drinks at a bucolic setting - you’ll feel like you stepped into a different era. The room itself was romantic and elegant, with a outdoor veranda that allowed for early morning coffee in my robe ( provided ). Took a quick walk through the grounds - wish I could have spent more time.

Condition of 3* motel not worth the price. Really far from the center. Pool is very old

This is a beautiful hotel near Strasberg. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff is great. It is difficult to find if you don't have a GPS. The food is very good but rich. We ate at the chateau twice and at a small nearby restaurant once. My wife enjoyed the spa.

Amazing experience, very positively surprised by the hotel’s restaurants

Our family of four stayed in one room with a fold-out bed and a rollaway. They both squeaked unfortunately. The room was clean, the bathroom was lovely, the grounds were fantastic though. The pool was calming which is great for a spa but less useful when you have two active children who want to play. Outside the hotel had a badminton court, bikes to rent and a forest to explore. They also had an obstacle course next-door. That was fun for the kids. It was easy to catch the tram into town as well. It's about a 10 minute walk. The meals were good too. Nice choice!

I felt like a zoo animal at one point we were the only people in the hotel. The place was staffed by primarily young adults who were just starting. I give them a A for effort. They appeared to understand English but in the end they clearly didn't. After the first nights confusion over what was included in half pension drinks I told the front desk to cancel and we would order wine. I didn't realize until we had checked out that I continued to pay for half pension drinks plus the wine I ordered. I was overcharged 38€ per day for three days. We checked out a day early and I became terribly sick upon arrival at our next destination. Could have been anything but you get my meaning.

Lovely place and enjoyed our stay. Room was a bit small but the charm of the Chateau made up for it and staff was brilliant.
