"Perfection in Paradise"

10.0

Just perfection from start to finish. Our first time in Aruba and Hyatt knocked it out of the park. From pulling up to the gorgeous entrance, feeling the breeze in the open air lobby, and seeing the amazing grounds and beach, we were in love! The people couldn’t have been better , props to Jeferson at the pool chair stand! (Pool beach chairs book a month ahead in app, then no worries!). Room was perfect for us (had partial ocean view adjoining for our family). This hotel captures the island trade wind perfectly and whether it’s morning noon or night the wind only makes you feel more comfortable. Probably the best “lobby” bar I’ve ever seen. What a vibe! The casino was a nice touch for the evenings. We visited and compared the Ritz Carlton and Hyatt is by far the better choice. Right in the heart of all the shopping , restaurants, and bars. So if you are deciding where to stay, just know Hyatt is the top resort on the island !!! Thanks Hyatt!!

"Terrible and unexpected ."

WARNING DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My husband and I stayed at this hotel 3/2026 for my 50th birthday. While at the hotel, my husband slipped and fell in the room after exiting the shower, grabbing the closet door to catch his fall. Because my husband is a huge guy, and the hotel is built with minimum skilled workmanship and poor quality, the door pulled loose from the top hinge and the sheet rock (in a small area) by the frame of the loose hinge slightly buckled. My husband went to the front desk and explain the situation, they came to our room and within 20 minutes tightened the door and fixed the small buckle in the Sheetrock. All with my husband in the room. This happened on day 1 of our arrival and we stayed in the same room all week with no issue. Upon checking out, the front desk told me my charges, which were all for food and drinks were approx 2800.00. UPON RETURNING HOME, I checked my credit card to confirm the amount charged, THERE WAS ANOTHER, unauthorized, CHARGE BY THE HOTEL FOR 4,000.00. They charged me 4k for my husband slipping and falling in there hotel, and the 20 minute patchwork they did described above. I called the hotel directly and one of the managers , Daniel, was rude and shrugged me off stating he couldn’t do anything about it and hung up on me. I proceeded to phone Hyatt Corporate to open a case before I contact my attorney, and this is where I am at. If corporate does not refund the 4k, I will be filing a lawsuit. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. save yourself the aggravation and headache !

"Another Great Vacation"

10.0

The Hyatt Regency Aruba is simply marvelous. The property is beautifully maintained and is an island paradise. The priceless allure, however, is the excellent customer-centric staff. Many staff have been long tenured and are dedicated good hearted individuals. We are repeat visitors and it is so welcoming to see their smiles and positive auras when we visit. At the Palms restaurant for breakfast and at Ruinas Del Mars for dinner, the staff are unparalleled. Willie, Debbi, Rinalya, Beatriz, Glenna, Giovanna, Bernard, Milton, Luz, the Omelet Lady, the Crepes lady, Danilo, Janet R- all of them are beautiful people. Manny, the Ruinas Manager, is a long-term Hyatt associate who ensures a unique dining experience. The Trankilo Pool staff include the excellent servers, Fiore and Marline. They never stop smiling. Magdalena at the Towel Hut is a Customer Service Ambassador! The Front Desk Staff are very welcoming and accommodating and provide a first class welcome. All of the Lobby Greeters/Taxi Callers/Baggage Handlers, especially James, provide timely and excellent services. The Zoia Spa is incredible. The long tenured staff led by Jinalya, want you to have the best experience. Masseuses Olga, Lily and Astrid’ hands and fingers have magical super powers. A Spa visit is a must. The resort is very well managed and is reflected by the dedication and longevity of its excellent staff. The saddest part of the vacation is leaving this Island Oasis. We will be back soon, Again. Aruba is One Happy Island. Hyatt Regency Aruba and it’s Singular and Unique Staff is One Happy Island Paradise. Bon Dia!

"Great for families."

8.0

My husband and I brought our 20 year old on a semi business/ spring break family trip. If you have small kids this is a very family friendly resort that I would highly recommend. If you are a couple - its still great - just know there are going to be a ton of children in the main pool area that houses the swim up bar. There is a peaceful adult pool around the corner with plenty of chairs and cabana rentals with TVs, fridges, ect. Cabana's ranged from 450.00 to 975.00 to rent depending on proximity to the beach. They also had "cabanas" that were essentially a two person lounger and a regular pool chair with a small table and umbrella situated in front of the pool area facing the beach for 75.00 per day. They also has the palapas beach spots you could rent for 60.00 per day. While the pool area was busy we didn't have a problem procuring a chair on the adult side each day so we had no need to rent. I could see it being an issue on more peak times though. People do go down first thing and claim their chairs for the day so to get a good spot you need to be an early riser. The food at the pool area is typical of what you would expect from a beach side resort. Beach access was great. Resorts are all very close together so we strolled beach side and checked out the other resorts and felt like the Hyatt seemed to have the best hotel grounds, pool area and chairs - ect. Some of the other resorts had some very cute bars and food places that any one could access that were right on the beach. The Hyatt restaurants were good, drinks were mostly good. We didn't get the try the steak house unfortunately but i heard it was really good and had excellent reviews. Overall the staff was 50/50 with friendly vs not so much. I feel that was pretty indicative of the island as a whole. Some friendly and some not friendly at all. It is very loud on the weekends in the evenings. The lobby bar below out room was swinging well after midnight when we arrived on Sunday and it was a bit difficult to get to sleep. They also start playing music at the pool area pretty early at a pretty loud volume. Since this was a semi work trip there were 3 catered dinners and one buffet breakfast that was company hosted for the 60 company employees and their spouses and/or families. The hotel did an excellent job with each one - so if you are planning an event or wedding they have it down to a science. Two of the dinners were right on the beach. The sunsets were amazing and the 1st beach dinner was carnival themed and had carnival dancers. Decor was great for each dinner, buffet style food was good as well as the hosted bar and dessert table. Overall the trip was very nice, the hotel and amenities were very nice. Views and grounds were top notch. Rooms were clean and up to date and our view from the balcony was gorgeous of the grounds and the ocean.

"Average hotel-great location"

6.0

Location is great if you want to be in the main resort area. Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Easy to get a taxi to go further out. We felt safe walking around with our kids. The rooms themselves are nothing to spectacular. Honestly felt like your average Holiday Inn room. They have a sliding door to open and a balcony barely wide enough to step out onto. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. We were brought brand new towels daily even if ours were hanging up from before. The pool area is nice, as is the beach area. Getting a chair at either is sort of a pain as you must reserve months ahead of time AND still claim them by 9am. Lots of tour companies right on the beach outside of the resort. Nice if you want to use one, but also an eyesore to see so many boats parked out in the ocean. Be prepared to have locals asking to braid your hair $$$ or give massages as soon as you hit the sand. Most of the staff were very kind, but island time is a real thing-so order your food about an hour before you will be hungry. Overall-it’s a very nice resort, but for the price we weren’t overwhelmed by it.
