"Run away!"

I make the point of try new hotels in Maputo disregarding the feedback from travelers. Highly disappointing hotel. Bad food at the bar. Poor quality with frozen French fries (first time ever in Mozambique). Hotel looks tired. Rooms are dated. Bathroom is poor. Hotel corridors are poor and old and tired looking. The Internet service in the rooms is very bad and slow. I will not stay at this hotel again. The swimming pool area and garden are nice. So it is a nice place to go for a drink or meet a client. The employees tried hard but the hotel let them down. The hotel needs to full make over.

"overpriced but still semi-decent"

Pros: Modern gym, nice pool/garden, centrally located cons: Small rooms, slow service, unintereting food. Definitely better values to be had in Maputo. Overpriced for what you get.

"No value for money"

Not a very pleasant stay as the room we were booked into had a leaking aircon which the hotel staff seem to have been aware of but still gave the room to us. When we got back from our sightseeing we found a room that was flooded with water. Instead of moving us to another room immediately were asked to wait while their maintenance team tried to figure if it was actually a problem. When we insisted we be moved we were moved to a room that was not sea facing which was what we had paid for. Again only after asking were we moved. Secondly the reception staff were not very helpful when I tried to extend our stay and instead caused major inconvenience. For the money we spent we did not feel we got the service.

"Cardoso can improve service"

The service at Cardoso has delcined after management changed some time ago. Some refurbishments have been done and newshowers in rooms looks great but water spills all over the floor. Very good location and it is a great place tohavebreakfast overlooking the harbour and downtown Maputo.

"Best place in Maputo"

After having stayed in a number of different 4 - 5* hotels in Maputo, this is definitely my first choice. Everything is just perfect. Safe parking an absolute bonus!
