Parker Palm Springs

Property is stunning. Rooms are nice but the hammock room faces the parking lot and all day you hear large trucks and deliveries. There’s no privacy on your hammock patio. You see neighbors and the parking lot. They don’t even put in double pane windows to make things quiet from all these issues. It’s shocking to me that they wouldn’t make an effort to improve these issues at such an expensive 5 star resort when they’re easy fixes.

Our toilet leaked from the bottom and I slipped and almost fell on toilet water and the pool had so many mosquitos my wife and I had 20+ bites along with many others at the pool

Was slightly underwhelmed with the stay particularly as this is a five star hotel. It was their slow season but staff and service was often slow. Overall it is still a fabulous hotel with many nice amenities. I just expect more for the prices they charge.

This was our second stay at the Parker, my husband and I booked 3 nights for our anniversary. We had stayed at the Parker a year ago after many visits for meals and to the lounges. The vibe and aesthetic is quintessential Palm Springs, and this is by far my favorite property in the area. We booked through AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts which grants an upgrade if available. Upon check-in, we were assigned a King Estate Garden room with a Bougainvillea enclosed terrace, a step up from the Atlier room we stayed in a year ago (which was beautiful). The array of LeLabo, Hermes, Bvlgari (and the like) toiletries are a welcome touch, as are the continuation of retro whimsical design from the common areas. Beds and pillows are comfortable. We met and struck up a conversation with Tatiana Yturralde, Leisure Sales and Guest Relations Manager on day 2 while hanging out at the Gene Autry pool. I mentioned we'd made friends with a lovely Manx girl cat at the fire pit the previous evening (Lola has an easy life) and showed her pics and video of her loving on us, and also mentioned we were staying at the Parker for our anniversary. She said "I'm going to do something for you" and later that day, my husband came back with a key to Villa James, one hell of an upgrade! More a house than a room, down winding trails near the pools and the Gene Autry residence. A proper living room with photos of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger and a sizable terrace were appreciated. Staying in one of these was a dream, and anniversary treats started showing up to our villa, including champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We were also granted use of the pool cabanas (fruit plate, snacks, and beverages were provided), which we took advantage of that day and the following. The red Gene Autry bungalow, guarded by a pair of dragons, cooled by substantial misters was my favorite. Over our 3 day stay, we got to know several of the friendly staff: Marcos at the bar, Hazel and Sebastian at the front desk, Chris with Concierge, Angel and Jacob at the pools, Vanessa and Brandon at Norma's restaurant, and Alfredo who watches over the entrance to the magical grounds. A tip if you'd like to stay at The Parker and would like lower rates: summer is slow season, you'll save a ton of money and the property is quieter. Tatiana made our anniversary stay special and memorable. You'll always remember they way someone makes you feel, and she treated us like rock stars, even giving us a goodie bag on the way out. The bell boys gave us cold water for the road without us asking. All in all, a sensational experience. The Parker Palm Springs is one of my 4 favorite hotels in the world.

Our stay was amazing. As soon as you go through the gate you are transported to another time. This is not just another hotel. We were greeted by Haizel, she was so kind and welcoming. She showed us to our Hammock room, which was beautiful, spotless and oh so cool. We asked for any available upgrades, so we were showed us a few options. We decided to take the upgrade to the Zoe Villa for our 3rd and 4th night. Both the hammock rooms and villas offer private outdoor areas, although the hammock room has a room overlooking you patio. The villa is spectacular. We regret not doing the upgrade for our entire stay, since the last 2 nights were just simply magical. It has a wet bar, huge sitting area, large outdoor space with entrance, separate bedroom and chairs for days. The villas include the mini bar offerings and a reservation to the cabanas in the family pool. I believe there is also a car service included, but I didn't ask about it until the last day. The villas are full of character and so comfortable. That said, if you will not be in your room a lot, I would opt for a room over villa. Depending on when you go there is a big price difference, but if you can splurge, go for it! The Lemonade stand/ pool team is great, Everyone was super attentive. Mo took care of us for the most part of the 4 days we were there. Always finding us a spot to sit, which was a little difficult on full days. He was on top of everything! Victor and Angel were also very attentive and made sure we were comfortable at all times. It was 104 degrees but the team kept us hydrated, bringing ice cold lemon water constantly. The drinks were really good and fitting for heat. Lot's of frozen options. Counter Reformation (we have gone a few times since 2017) Yocelyn was a delight, great wine recommendations and service. The food itself is fun, but I do wish it would go back to it's original menu or quality, as used to be better for my taste. At Mister Parker, we were treated like Vip's by Victor (Manager) and Delia. They gave us a great table, even when we booked the reservation very last minute. If you are lucky enough to stay a the Parker and dine at Mister Park, order the beef wellington, it is reserved for guests. I think it's a fun perk, plus it was truly delicious. The food was amazing just like the staff. Mini Bar, we couldn't stay away! Marcos was incredible, he was handling the mini bar, lounge and some outside areas by himself without missing a beat. Drinks were amazing and he even took time to answer all my cocktail related questions. Best bar in town. PSYC (Spa) s a great space. I've never been to a place that compares. It really takes you back to a time I never lived. Fancy country club of your dreams type of place. They have salted/ heated indoor pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and steam room. They also have lots of seating areas. You can also order food and drinks. This is all part of the facilities offered to guests. That said, they also offer paid spa services, which looked amazing. Everyone made us feel so at home we had a very hard time leaving. The hotel is pricey. but worth it for those stays you really want to stay in and enjoy the property. There is so much to do or not do if that's what you want. Our only hope now is that we can come back soon and match this experience! Thank you Parker!

I booked my room via expedia. I ended up paying 5ish what was originally quoted from expedia by the hotel in resort fees and taxes. The extra taxes tacked on to everything make no sense. I was also double billed for food at the pool. I will never stay at the Parker again.

The additional fees and taxes upon checkout were exorbitant. Parking for one night was $52 USD (there is nowhere else to park but at the hotel). All of that, plus a poolside lunch, ended up costing almost double what the room cost.

Not hospitality. No systems in place. No management oversight. No accountability. They cant even keep a secure facility. My sister and her now husband had thier wedding at the parker last month. The first red flag was that my sister and now brother in law had thier food order completey forgotten about at the pool. Food orders were backed up by an hour the poor guy behind the bar said. His hands were shaking he was so overwelmed. Noone came to back him up, because noone from management knew because they dont check. Every employee on the grounds should know who the bride and groom are. My parents got robbed of irreplaceable family herloom jewlery, cash and credit cards, and thier passports the night we were off site at the rehearsal dinner. The head of security was of course away in vacation the weekend of the wedding. Of course. I feel bad for him, because supposedly he cut his vacation short to come help assess what was going on. Its just that he came back to no camera footage, as there arnt any cameras any where near the side entrance or hallway where my parents stayed so what good is that. To add insult to injury, you do nothing to comfort the parents of the bride upon your failure to keep a secure facility. You charge them full price as we are leaving, and there have not been any further communications between yourselves and my family for 30 days. A police report was made. I confronted your head manager about all of this when my parents received the bill. NOTHING!! NO EFFORT HAS BEEN MADE TO RIGHT WHAT HAPPENED HERE. In reading these reviews, this isnt the first robbery that occurred, and the same cameraless entry point was used in those robberies as well. IF YOU SEE POLICE WALKING THE HALLS, YOU KNOW IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I gave you 30 days. I told you I would be waiting patiently. This robbery had a level of sophistication that is disturbing. They felt very confident in thier actions, and it just so happened that we were away for rehearsal dinner. The hit screams coordinated and sophisticated. Tell me I’m wrong.

Everything is perfectly thought of and implemented. Very clean property staff are extremely professional and friendly. Rooms are amazing clean everything works everything is as you expect is to be and that’s a big one for me. The only thing that is a minor curiosity for me is the entire resort does not have any area to drop off waste or trash and the property is pet friendly. You can not find any trash can anywhere period. I did take my pet Shiba with me so that was bit weird since I do my end to drop off my pet waste in bags. everything else fantastic and food and restaurants are also amazing.
