Quality Inn Aurora - Naperville Area

Absolutely nothing was nice about this hotel.

We couldn't cancel our reservation when we arrived even though we could clearly tell this hotel has not been maintained well. Decided to give the benefit of the doubt and just go ahead and head inside. After paying for the room, we were then informed that they couldn't issue a keycard and we would have to be escorted to the room to enter every time. What kind of nonsense is that! We were not okay with that. We asked for a refund or cancelation. The desk clerk said she couldn't do that because she didn't know how to and the manager wasn't there. She also couldn't print a receipt stating that we had already paid. She told us that we would just have to trust them.

Wine the room was relatively quiet and the bed comfortable, the rest left quite a bit to be desired. We just needed a simple place to sleep close to family for a holiday visit, nothing fancy. However, when we arrived in the evening, the lobby smelled like smoke a bit which was concerning. Fortunately the room did not! The sheets on the bed were seemingly clean but stained in several places and had some small holes in them. The bathroom door barely cleared the toilet so it was tricky to maneuver in and out and we’re both slender. There was hair in the bath mat and a minimal supply of toilet paper that nearly ran out that night. We asked for the sheets to be changed and toilet paper refilled the next morning, and the person working the desk nodded and said ok and nothing was done. We had to all again at night foot out to be taken care of the next morning. There was no do not disturb sign and we were interrupted one morning by housekeeping. The armchair in the room had multiple scratch marks in the upholstery from a cat obviously. Or key had to be reprogrammed twice bc bc they didn’t enter our length of stay (6 nights) at check in. Overall we had the feeling that no one stays there, for good reason.

The location is nice.

Our room as ok. My sister's is very dirty. Blood in the floor, in the toilet seat. Very dingy. They were very itchy the entire night, very limited sleep. The next day I asked for a discount. They said they cannot since we did not complain immediately. We did not because we arrived almost midnight and we were dead tired after yours and hours of driving. It was only when they get up to check at dawn when they saw how dirty the room was.

I didn’t like anything

It was dirty , heat didn’t work, the fridge was not clean, someone’s urine was on the wall and floor of the bathroom, soap scum in shower and black mold starting in the tub . We had to be moved to another room. Our second room we had heat problems and other areas were dirty in this room as well. Our room key would have to be activated each time we came back and staff was rude to me. I wish I was able to cancel my reservation to stay at a different establishment.
