The Hoxton, Chicago

Hotel location is great. It is in the West Loop and close to many restaurants.

I wish there is a gym in the hotel. Or they can have a partnership with gyms close by.

I literally have not had such a bad hotel experience in so long. The hotel manager should be fired. First, it is on an elevated subway train line … so from 5 am until midnight, you hear trains every 7 minutes, even with the windows closed. Second, when I asked to switch rooms, the would not let me see the new room without giving up my room. Since I already had paid for an upgraded room that was terrible, I was nervous about taking the not upgraded room, but they refused to let me see it, so I stayed in the train room. We had a big event here and when they did last call (rather early), they refused to serve drinks. Since we were staying here I asked to have something sent to the room. They said no. Finally ordered Uber Eats and asked if I could wait in the lobby - which was freezing - by the heaters, and they said no. So I had to sit in the freezing part of the lobby. I could go on, but definitely do not stay here.

All great in terms of aesthetics and service, but if you're looking for a place to rest, this isn't it. It's right next to the train line (which makes a lot of noise), AC units are old and very loud, and you might get a room haunted with ghosts that will turn on your bathroom light several times during the night. If you're a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you.

My favorite Chicago hotel, great location, lively atmosphere and friendly staff. The lobby bar offers morning coffee to evening cocktails serving quality food in a beautiful location.

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean & comfortable rooms. Nice assortment of dining/drinking options. We enjoyed our stay.

Air conditioning is incredibly loud, but also doesn’t cool the room.The beds are sagging in the middle, and incredibly uncomfortable. In fact, the beds are so uncomfortable that I could not sleep and that’s the only reason I am writing this review. Location is great. Staff was not very helpful, but I assume it’s just because they can’t help with a broken air conditioner or old beds. Also, they stopped giving water bottles in the room, now you can refill a bottle yourself in the hallway if you need. For an extra bonus, the fridges in the rooms are warm so you can’t have cold water! Please. Reconsider staying here. I wish we would have. I could have been just as uncomfortable for a quarter of the price. Lastly, the only impressive point here is how the rooms in a Chicago hotel manage to be smaller than in NYC.

From the moment we stepped inside the lobby, we were impressed. After a long day of flights delayed and hours at the airport we were exhausted. By the time we reached the Hoxton it was approaching midnight. The lobby was filled with people and a beautifully lit fireplace.The place had a really great vibe. We went to check in and the young lady, Brooke at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer and was truly a breath of fresh air after the long day we had just endured! Just a great experience from the beginning. The rooftop bar, the coffee shop, the rooms were all charming and lots of fun!

What a wonderful crew at Hoxton, they went above and beyond to assist me and my coworkers with a list of requests for our upcoming company event. Such a pleasure staying here and to be hosted by great folks, high recommended!
