Loved the atmosphere and how cute and cozy the rooms were! I chose a quieter room with less of a view but the view was still stunning!

I’m sharing this because what I witnessed was deeply disturbing and no traveler—especially Black women—should walk into a place and experience this kind of hate. During my visit, I watched a young Black woman be completely disrespected by the staff. They mocked her, spit toward her, and harassed another Black immigrant woman to the point she was in tears. It was horrifying to witness in 2025, in what should be a safe, social space. This behavior wasn’t just unprofessional—it was violent, racist, and dehumanizing. Management stood by while it happened, showing no urgency or compassion. Travelers and locals alike deserve to know the truth: this establishment is unsafe for Black women and immigrants. Until accountability and sensitivity training are in place, I strongly advise avoiding this location. No drink or social atmosphere is worth your dignity, safety, or humanity.

My first time at a Hoxton and only my 2nd stay in Chicago. Genuinely a joy from start to finish, wonderful location, lovely building, great choices in the restaurants and bars.

I was awaken every time the heat came on. Extremely annoying. I’m not going to stay there in the cold season anymore because of this.

Great location in an attractive, lively neighborhood. Good value with excellent access to many Chicago attractions.
