I did not expect a good service or a warm hospitality from this hotel, when I made a reservation here because of the location (a western style hotel in a very tiny small town). But, it wasn't. Everyone at the hotel was very polite and kind to us. We were very lucky to be able to stay at this wonderful hotel, where everybody always smiles and tries to make the guests feel comfortable.

The Chattanooga, Tennessee delegation stayed here during our visit to Tono for the Tono Matsuri Festival. They were very hospitable and friendly, regardless of the language barrier. This is a large hotel in the middle of town. Easy walking distance to museums. Our rooms were small but spacious enough. I would recommend this place to foreigners staying in this area.

Aeria was my home for a couple of days while I was at a study trip in Japan. The staff were very polite though I found it hard to communicate well because not all them can speak English. The rooms are very well-kept and their housekeeping is really honest. I left my shoes in my room after checking out and when I got back after 4 days, it was still there.

Was entirely surprised at the quality of the hotel - Aeria wouldn't look out of place at all at a busier and more popular touristy place. The breakfast had a great variety, with both Western and Japanese, and the beds were comfortable. Try to get one of the higher floors for a nicer view in the morning too - we were on the 7th floor at it was nice to see the autumn scenery in the morning from our window.

I am so impressed! this place was amazingly good! did not expect anything like this in here! Extremely delicious restaurant, very nice bathroom and comfortable rooms! I recommend this hotel to everyone. I will definitely stay here again next time. thank you very much for the Omotenashi ^^

This is a very nice hotel to stay. Very clean and nice staffs. It has a nice restaurant. They also have a big public bath if you want to try different experience. They had a folktale every day, but this is only done in Japanese with strong local accent. Even some Japanese people find it is difficult to understand. You need to be very fluent in Japanese to Join this. I recommend to stay in this hotel.

You can't beat the hospitality and kindness of the staff. They are very courteous and have our best interests at heart. Breakfast is included in the stay and the ofuru is heaven on earth. I will visit again. It is close to Tono Municipal Museum, Nabekura Castle Site, Nambu Shrine, the retirement home of Kunio Yanagita and other interesting sites in the area. Have yen when you come to Tono. Master card was hard to use. Credit cards were a more acceptable in Tokyo. (free Wi-fi - on lobby and 2nds floor only). They also serve traditional Japanese breafast and a more wester style as well. They do offer lunch and dinner for those that so choose during their hours of operation.

My stay at Aeria Hotel was very warm and welcoming. The food for the dining hall had western choices as well as traditional choices. The bathing facilities were very clean and tranquil. The frong desk clerks gave exceptional service to our group. We didn't want to leave. There were so many touring cites near the facility that we could participate in. There was a lot to do. I will go again.

We spent a night here while exploring the folklore town of Tono. We were surprised at how large and elegant the the hotel is. It combines Japanese design and decor with Western facilities, so caters to all tastes. It is located just below a temple, in a picturesque part of the town. Staff are helpful, taking in our luggage from the car park and bringing another parking card out to the car when I mislaid my original one. Rooms were large and comfortable; breakfast was adequate.

the twin bed room was a good size as were the beds and the bathroom was a good size and sparkling clean, as was the bath only down side was the shower curtain it made the bathroom feel dated and a little dirty(which it wasn't,) after a hot shower and a long hard wet day on the road, it was time for a coffee and a snack but alas it was not to be the hotel café / restaurant was closed ,but I could use the vending machine on the 4th floor said the girl behind the front desk, but hi I want a coffee and a snack at a table with a seat ,I want to sit down and relax, is that to much to ask from a hotel? , so of I go to my room and call room service , but there is no room service its closed how can this be at 8.00p.m/9.00p.m? , (DO NOT EXPECT TOP NOTCH SERVICE IN THIS HOTEL)
