DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Rocky Point Waterfront

I’m a Hilton only traveler. I booked at this hotel to stay before our cruise. The hotel is beautiful. I step into shower after turning on water, bottom was so slippery I fell and hit my head on the faucet. My husband tried to help me out but was so slippery I kept falling back. After 3 falls I laid on my back put legs over tub onto a towel and husband helped me up. I was bleeding so I went to front desk for a bandaid. My husband tried the shower to see if it was just me and he fell too. We are not old and I’ve never had this issue. Breakfast is not included and is $22 a person.

We will be back , We initially had a sunset view room on the 2 nd floor . I just didn’t like it . Felt dark . So we swapped to a pool view room on the 4 th floor and couldn’t have been happier . Fab view of the pool and water . We had breakfast with our F&B credit and it was lovely . The server Sandy was so very lovely and took care of us . Buffer eas great bit on the 2 nd day we just had th eggs and bacon . We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the fish & chips was superb . I had the flatbread which was also lovely . A busy bar but still a great service . The pool area was so nice . Lovely big towels Only blip was there was pizza droppings on the floor by the lift for 2 night and I reported it twice . It was there when we arrived and still there when we left … Looking forward to our next trip

Great hotel fairly good position to get around from, pool and restaurant very good and the staff could not be faulted and were more than helpful, the room though need updating! The air con was noisy and right next to the bed, the rooms were tied and dated. Shame really but when you pay good money you expect more!

I went on this trip with my girlfriend for her birthday and I have to say — the experience was a little different from what I was used to. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our stay, everything was simply top-notch. A special shoutout to Chelsea and her manager Rubin, who went above and beyond to make our visit truly memorable. Chelsea’s professionalism and friendly demeanor with a constant supply of warm delicious cookies made us feel right at home, while Rubin was incredibly helpful and attentive — always ensuring we had everything we needed, especially when I had the surprise birthday cake for my girlfriend. Their hospitality stood out and really elevated our stay. The hotel itself was ok, comfortable, and well-located, making it easy to explore Tampa. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a great view of the water. And of course, the warm DoubleTree cookie at check-in was a sweet start to a wonderful stay. Thank you to the entire team, for making our visit so enjoyable, and especially Roy who we met at checkout for crowning the trip with an early Christmas present. ;-) We will definitely be back and will gladly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa to anyone visiting the area!

Our stay at DoubleTree was amazing, and we had a great time, my friends and I would like to give a huge thanks to Priyam, as he was very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a nice place to hang out with family or friends.

The overall rooms were very nice and hotel is beautiful with a nice pool by the water. There is a restaurant walking distance that had great food by the water. The downside which upset me is there main photo is a fire pit outback by the pool which was a huge selling point. Not only did the front desk not even know they had a fire pit, once I told them they did they automatically had excuses how it doesn’t work and they have to get their engineers to turn it on which they haven’t tested yet. It was just a weird experience and sad that is their main photo they push out. Parking is $25 and breakfast buffet is $22. I wish the parking was just free or added in I must of missed that part n got hit with extra $100 when I arrived. Factoring the parking and breakfast cost I would have opted to get a nicer hotel that had it built in. My fault for not reading the fine print. Overall though the hotel is very nice and in a great location. It’s the little things that add up and ruin the experience sometimes. I would rate 3/5 overall.

The room was clean; however, the bathroom is dated.

Debra at the front desk was so kind to me. I had a very bad day prior to arrival and she was helpful and lovely. I truly appreciated her friendliness. She is amazing. Thank you, Debra.
