"Excellent alternative to the other places in busy Monteverde"

Absolutely excellent and a fantastic alternative to the mediocre hotels in busy Monteverde. Yes, this place is remote and a 20 to 30 minute drive, but for this you will find yourself in a very peaceful and quiet mountain environment with a private forest. An excellent and freshly prepared breakfast is included, the staff will help you with whatever needs your help. They recommended us a very good restaurant only 15 minutes drive away, that also offers delivery service. Also, you should know that this hotel is close to El Tigre waterfall and 100% Aventura zip line and hanging bridge park. It is also not far from Santa Elena national Park, which we found to be the better option compared to Monteverde national Park. We escaped here from shabby Socialtel, which is a very typical Monteverde experience: high prices with questionable service level. This hotel here is a very good alternative to that.

Great spot for quiet stay in the mountains. Great comfort and amazing breakfast. Ducks and fishes to feed for the kids and close enough to town for activities and restaurants.

Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly staff

It’s close to hiking trails including the amazing El Tigre waterfall trail (plus), but it’s very removed from town down a difficult road. The property has an unfinished feel but it’s clear they’re trying hard to launch.

Breakfast was good but a bit of a queue for such a small hotel

The air is seriously humid and the rooms do not have air con. Consequently towels don’t try and everything feels damp. The soundproofing is lacking so you can hear everything from the neighbouring rooms. Other than breakfast there is no food available at the hotel so the nearest food is in Santa Elena which is 20-30 minutes drive away.

No food no a/c No facilities at all in room No way of making a hot drink No TV or radio No a/c Could not see lake or anything else because of weather which apparently is normal from Dec till April 100kms drive à on the deepest potholed roads and then this!!!
