The Dairy at High House

La maison est encore plus jolie en vraie que sur les photos. Les équipements sont de bonnes qualités et tout a été pensé pour garantir le maximum de confort. La propriétaire Lisa est charmante et vous accueille avec tout le nécessaire pour le petit déjeuner au frigo. Le village est calme et très joli aussi.

Tout était parfait.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful village. Everything provided gave The Dairy a home from home feel. The children loved their room with TV and seeing the chickens on site. The bonus of breakfast ingredients for our first morning took away the stress of having to shop en route. Lots of lovely places to visit close by. Our hosts were exceptional.

We were happy with everything.

A lovely supply of food was left for us. with Bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, freshly laid eggs, beans, sour dough bread, milk, butter, milk, fresh orange juice, biscuits, jams, marmalade and I am sure I have missed things. The house is beautiful, full of character and the facilities within are fantastic. The host Lisa made us very welcome and is very helpful and friendly.

Everything was just great.

The host was excellent, she was chatty and friendly. We were going to do a bit of shopping, but there was no need, the hostess had supplied everything we needed for a hearty breakfast.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about my stay.

Lisa was a great host and gave us some great tips on what to see and where to eat in the area. The cottage was very comfortable and easily accommodated 5 of us. The breakfast items that Lisa stocked for the first day was a really nice touch.

Only a minor thing - you do need a car as there isn't really anything (shops/restaurants) within walking distance. But some nice towns within 10-15 minute drive

They were so nice and helpful. The fridge was stuffed with everything for the first breakfast. Spotless clean. Beds and sofa perfect. So everything was top.

Absolutely beautiful house with everything you could wish for supplied. We were greeted by the owner with bread, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and sausages. Milk, bottled water already in fridge and many condiments, tea and coffee in the cupboard. Plenty of parking space and huge garden with seating and free range chickens. Stunning views. Everything spotlessly clean. TV in lounge as well as 2 of the bedrooms.

Sadly the local pub has closed and there is no shop in the village 😞

A full English breakfast was provided by the host, which included Free range eggs from their own chickens, bacon, sausages, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Bread, Butter, Orange Juice, Milk, Local jam and marmalade. Lisa, the host was very welcoming and very informative. The house was very comfortable and clean and very characteristic. Would very highly recommend.

Everything was Brilliant.

Everything at The Dairy House was perfect, we were warmly greeted and shown around. The house is very comfortable, tastefully furnished with everything of a very high quality. It was quite cold in the evenings and the heating was super efficient, it was really warm throughout the property. The kitchen was well equipped with a fab halogen hob and double oven and dishwasher. There were biscuits, cooking oil, condiments, marmalade and Somerset honey and the icing on the cake was a fridge well stocked with everything we needed for a full English breakfast including newly laid eggs from Lisa’s hens, bread, butter orange juice and milk. I have stayed in many self catering properties and The Dairy is top of the list for the service they provided and their attention to detail. Lisa and Fred are fantastic hosts and communication with them was excellent, Lisa was very helpful in providing recommendations for local places to eat and places of interest to visit. Highly recommended!
