Men's toilet seat wouldn't stay up No paper holder so toilet rolls left on floor No cheap meal options

It was very clean and also quiet even though it was on the main street. It was also nice being above the pub because we could simply come down stairs for a meal and drink. It would have been nice if our stay included a discount for food at the pub ;-)

The fact the bathroom was not attached to the room however, it was vary clean and we knew in advance that it was going to be separate so it is not a complaint, it’s just that generally, I prefer attached bathrooms.

I have stayed before so this was a return visit. It is an affordable option for when I am travelling for work. They have added tea and coffee making facilities in the communal area. It is clean and comfortable.

The only issue was that another guest had left beer bottles and rubbish around the communal area on tables and in multiple spots. Not the fault of the staff at the hotel but it was pretty offputting. Everything was clean otherwise.

The location is lovely in a tree lined area. The pub is great with good food and friendly staff

The room was a bit shabby, torn carpet, damaged fly screens etc. needs a make over
