The bed was alright

Staff was very friendly when we checked in after having been ditched by our reserve hotel. Gave lunch recommendations.

Area is ROUGH; lots of unhoused, abandoned vehicles, loud voices in the middle of the night, horrid mattress that should have been changed 5 years ago, spartan room with leftover furniture, poor lighting, worst hotel I can ever remember staying in and for the value was a total gouge but didn't have a choice because our reserved Booking com hotel closed and didn't tell us. Fitness room was less than ok.

Shady location with littered parking lot. Walkways were littered and overgrown. Tub/shower stall had been painted and was peeling. Electrical outlets were loose and not functioning. Check out was at 11am, but at 8 am housekeeping knocked on every door on the hallway and yelled "HOUSEKEEPING!"until someone answered the door. Two different maids came to our room during all of the knocking and yelling to ask what time we were leaving. Then they were mad when we told them we would be out by 11.

The pick-up from the train station was very quick and the woman who picked us up was very friendly.

The property is dated. It looks like they are just putting bandaids on problems rather than fixing them. The woman at the front desk was very busy when we arrived and was crabby. Our room was 85 degrees when we arrived. There was a free standing heat/air unit that was running very loudly and blowing out hot air from the vent pipe that had become disconnected. We shut it off and opened a window. The next day I showed a picture of the problem to the front desk clerk. He said he would have the maintenance man come. No one ever came. There was no housekeeping service. I asked for 2 washcloths and a towel. It was never delivered. Breakfast options were very limited.

Th hotel was fairly basic and dated facilities. It was comfortable and the stay was what we expected. We stayed one night post cruise and it served for what we required and the price was reasonable.

Location was not in a good area. Building was very old and had not been updated much. Chair in the room was covered in stains. Would not recommend staying here.
