Homely Serviced Apartments - Blonk St

The apartment was clean and pleasant. The bathroom was clean. Kitchen facilities were good. There is a basic mini mart downstairs and a few takeaway fast food places nearby. It is a 5 minute walk into the city centre with all the usual shopping and restaurants.Parking was 'on street' or in a nearby open air car park (Windrush Way Car Park). Full-day parking ranged from 3 to 12 pounds, the car park being cheaper than the street parking.

Nothing we didn’t like, but to make it even better we would’ve liked a larger sofa or corner sofa - the one in apartment wasn’t adequate for 3 adults. Also at least one bed to be king sized - possible twin beds in one room as well? That’s just our preference as a family when we stay in apartments.

Comfortable apartment with well equipped modern kitchen, comfortable bed and pillows and excellent shower. Prompt response from estate agency when we had an issue. Very easy self check-in. Central location and close to public transport.

The agency takes a refundable deposit before check-in.

The property was clean

I would avoid this services apartment. We were in a room in the 60s (numbers) and entered the small lobby area of 3 apartments to be greeted by the stench of stale cigarette smoke that was overwhelmingly strong. The flat/apartment itself is of good size but the sofa bed (thank goodness we didn’t have another couple staying with us) in the front room was not able to be used. It was void of any cushioning in the key areas. You could feel the frame on your body even when sitting, it was 100% not usable as a bed. The bed that is provided is a 3/4 size bed, slightly smaller than a double, and is rock hard. It feels as though you are being pushed up from the bed. Haven’t had much worse nights sleep than this in recent years. Raised a complaint on this booking portal, the property owner did not respond and booking.com offered a 10% compensation in lieu of the owners response.

Central location, all the amenities needed. Warm and comfortable. Very clear instructions and directions

Great location. Lovely spacious apartment. Comfy beds. Nice furniture! Great shower.

No mirror near plugs in bedrooms for hair drying. Maybe needs a few more drinking glasses!
