Galle Fantacy

Good location, on the main beach road. Very close to shops, bars restaurants and the beach. Very close to the main road into Galle, tuk tuks available at your doorstep. The apartment is very clean, has all the basic amenities, bathroom, mosquito net over the bed, kettle and fridge. The owners were quite helpful and friendly. They don’t speak very good English so it was hard to communicate if you need anything.

Conversion rate when paying was a standardised rate which they use, rather than what the official exchange rate was, which is bad practice. Linen smelled damp in one of our rooms. Issues with WiFi and air conditioning on first night which weren’t the easiest to sort out as the owner replied telling us to ask his parents but it was unclear where they were based.

Super central. 5 min walk to the beach. Huge room. Over busy street but always quiet by 10-10.30pm. Recommend!

Huge room with comfy bed. Located right on the main tourist street. Room has a fridge and kettle. Hot water in the bathroom and great water pressure.

Bathroom was a little outdated.

Great location in main access road to Unawatuna beach. About 2 minutes walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants around. Room was air-conditioned has nice comfy beds with a mosquito net, table and chairs, dressing table with mirror, Fridge. Bathrooms was nice and clean, think they had solar powered hot water (not 100% sure as our visit it was a year ago). The host were amazing people. I would say they are the best and made us feel home. My wife was pregnant at the time and they offered some delicious Sothern style dinner just for her & even invited us for a special lunch in their house. (Free of charge of course , just out of love) Felt like we were staying with our own family & we still keep in touch with them. Even the neighbors are awesome people. It was raining one of the days, during our stay, there wasn't much to do and restaurant and guest house owner from across the road invited us to his 1st floor open space restaurant facing the road and let us hang out there having a nice chat and enjoying chill music. Ideal for a couple as it very safe to walk around even in midnight. Some might find it bit noisy as it besides the main access road (Dewal para / Yaddehimulla road) but it didn't bother us at all.

I had an issue with water, but it was solved pretty fast.

Is a really big room, with AC and fan, and also so clean. The shower was one of the best that we had in Sri Lanka. The owners are so cute and the location is really good.

The most comfortable bed!! Very clean!! !! Most friendly people!!! Stayed 20 nights!! Wow!! Perfect location!! Hidden gem highly recommended!! Family made us feel like home and cooked us a meal!! Absolutely amazing!!
