Oakwood Motel

Actually this place is very modest from the outside. It’s clean but needs a good overhaul. Just stayed the one night so a good nights sleep was the priority. Bed was comfortable shower was great and room clean. It’s close to all restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Overall 7/10

Easy access, good parking, convenient clean cabin, good wifi and tv. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, standard bathroom except low toilet. Reception friendly. Easy check in. Fast food nearby , close to Highway 11! Room had hot plate, microwave, fridge.

Comfortable stay good location clean room

Small things made it look quite cheap; Paint job did not bother to take off plug cover plates so all painted over, TV old and blurry, bulbs out on second bed, WiFi password did not work.

Good, basic accomodation.

The cottages had afull sink stove top mini fridge and mirowave nice garden all around nice chairs to sit outside in the garden

This hotel was in a very central location, ideal to do walks about the town. We had a pleasant stay, the only set back at the time for rest, was the rather loud noise emenating from the refridgerator motor.

Hotel is a bit old school but pleasent room i had had a fridge sink 2 element stove microwave dishes and a sink good location

It was a very basic room. However, the price was right. The heat was minimal.

Well, you get what you pay for I suppose. Wasn't the worst motel I've stayed in. The door didn't lock so we had to put a chair in front of it at night. The walls were very thin, we could literally hear the people in the room next to us fart. There was no thermostat in the room, and when I called to ask if there was the lady who checked us in brought us a space heater that was very dusty and very noisy (we didn't end up using it. Could hardly hear each other talk over the noise it made). The room was kind of cold during the day and evening but at night the heat went up, and we were drenched in sweat. I wish there was a way we could have controlled it. Overall, if you are there just for the night amid a winter hiking trip like we were, it'll do as a place to rest when you are tired enough to pass out anywhere.
