Oakwood Motel

Quiet motel and walking distance to restaurants, bakeries and music hotspots in Gravenhurst. Friendly Couple who even helped us fix our daughters fan when none of the Local hardware stores has the right piece. Very clean. Great for an overnight stay.

Was 10pm after a very long day and I unexpectedly needed a room for the night, other plans for the evening having suddenly crashed and facing another long day. Drove up and found the lady proprietor standing outside and she immediately ..hopped-to my enquiry about a no-reservation room in midst of High Season. Gave me her last room, a cabin with a “lonely guy discount”. Very clean, comfortable well-kept and entirely adequate for my modest needs. She was also most polite, solicitous and accommodating in her overall attitude.

Stayed for 2 nights during the Canada day weekend...owners were helpful and accommodating! The hotel is nicely kept, with a beautiful garden on the cabin side. This was our 3rd visit, will be back next summer!

The owner made us feel welcomed and did everything to make our stay very comfortable. They are withing walking distance of several stores. So nice to sit out and relax and see the lovely hanging baskets of flowers. The room was clean and comfortable.

Once again I was not let down. I went to visit family in Gravenhurst and stayed here. The place and owners never get old. Room was immaculate and very warm. They worried about me not being warm enough so I was brought a portable heater. I didn't need it the heating system was enough heat. I am generally always cold. I plan on staying again and agin

We stayed at this motel for two nights while visiting sites in the area. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay! The rooms were very clean and the extra amenities were wonderful. Dishes and cutlery were provided which was perfect for our BBQ dinner and the little extras such as chocolates and biscotti left as treats(and the tomatoe from their garden which was so good) were the little touches that go a long way! The grounds are well kept with beautiful plants and gardens, all maintained by the owner! I would certainly recommend this motel and will definitely return!!

Oakwood Motel in Gravenhurst is still the best place to stay. Same owner same great owners. Checked Saturday night for availability and stayed 2 wonderful nights, Oakwood is very clean, The owners take great pride in their business. Book here your next trip to Gravenhurst you will not be disappointed.

Very pleasant stay. Renata is amazing and it was amazing experience. Very clean rooms and most importantly, the owners cared about our experience. We would surely visit again and we highly recommend this place.

I travel through the Muskoka/Parry Sound area on business on a fairly regular basis and need several overnight stops each Spring/Summer. When circumstances put me in the Gravenhurst area, this has become my motel of choice. Booking is always easy - after a couple of stays my record was on file and the operator was able to set things up right away with a phone call. The nature of my work often means that I don't book until last minute (i.e. 20 minutes down the road at 8:00 pm) and it's never been a problem. Rooms are neat and clean. My stays are generally pretty short - 7:00 pm or so to 8 in the morning. What I need is (1) Cleanliness and a good sleep - check (2) A good WiFi connection to catch up on the days emails (I often have a significant upload or two to do as well) - check (3) a clean bathroom - double check. Cost is very reasonable for what is provided.
