Wonderful hotel with excellent staff. Rooms are charming and immaculately maintained and the restaurant downstairs went above and beyond to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. From check in to check out every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful and proactive. We will definitely return!

"Not a great experience"

Disappointed to be assigned a room with a "roll in shower" (473) wherein it was impossible to contain the water and keep it from spilling onto most of the bathroom floor--despite two floor drains, we had to use a mountain of towels to mop up the floor. Hazardous. Also disappointed that food/dirty dishes were left outside rooms on our floor such that at no time when we traversed the hall (about 8 times in our two-day stay) was the hall free of dirty dishes. Makes you wonder if this is really the best option in Durham for about $400 a night.

Only complaint is the fact that they advertise a mini bar in the room and our room had a locked, empty refrigerator…no mini bar
