"Luxurious room"

The room was spacious and fresh. It had a hardwood entry area and marble tile in the bathroom. The carpet in the main part of the room was clean with a decorator pattern. There was a very comfy chair with ottoman by the window, plus a standard table and chair for work. As a new coffee drinker, it was fun to have a Nespresso Virtuo in the room with pods for espresso, coffee, and decaf. I especially appreciated having the real half-n-half and not just those powder non-dairy creamers. There was also a bodum hot water heater for tea and a nice selection of tea bags. The robe was comfy. Overall, the room was luxurious and a great home base for my week at a conference at Duke.

The Washington Duke Inn has a wonderful range of amenities and is centrally located to Cameron Indoor and other sports facilities at Duke University. We always stay as a family and enjoy the heated indoor pool, family playroom on the ground floor, and the restaurants on site. The service is also impeccable. We will return.

"Romantic getaway (including locals)"

We were very lucky to celebrate our 23rd anniversary at the same location we had our wedding. It was no surprise now as it was then, on the excellent service throughout our stay. The food was phenomenal and the creme brûlée worthy of mentioning. The Washington Duke management and staff went out of their way to make it very special for us. We will be back and highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location(walkable to west campus, about 15 mins walk to Abele square), friendly staffs, historic hotel with elegant design and decoration. If we visit Durham in the future, we will stay here again.
