Faenol Fawr Hotel

The hotel was very quiet and in a quiet area. Nice sized rooms. The pool was nice, hot tub has gone if people have seen pics on some sites. Breakfast was very well catered for.

Lovely old property - very warm and helpful staff and a very quiet stay

I’ve stayed here a few times over the years for convenience for work but I’m afraid the rooms are still very outdated , the cleaners do their best but the bath had scummy sealant, the toilet roll holder was rusted , the bathroom floor was looking a bit of a state , the classic doubles are very very basic and need updating and it’s such a shame as the building itself is beautiful, the grounds could also do with some TLC . The plus side is the staff are lovely and the food and restaurant is nice

Hotel was not serving food to guests. "they don't have too, as we earn enough money through doing >5 functions per week"

We had a party (Ball) in The Barn, a fantastic venue and the food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Hotel, the room was very comfortable with a great breakfast in the morning. Very Good.

Lovely building shame about the decor and maintenance.

On the surface the hotel appeared to be be lovely, but on settling into our room we began to find snags.. We stayed in a family room (room 412) The shower rail was hanging off, the bath handle was loose and hanging off, and the lock on the hotel room was dodgy, it just kept turning when we tried to lock it. We had no hot water in our room either, i ran a bath and the water was at best luke warm, my parents who also stayed alsonsaid their water was cold too. The worst problem was the toilet, when i woke in the morning infound the toilet was leaking, the whole of the bathroom floor was a puddle of toilet water! Not hygenic at all! I told the man on reception as we were checking out, and his response was just "ok, thanks" No apology or anything! Not impressed! Also one last thing, the view from the room was non- existent! We had a view of a roof! At £150 for one nights stay i expect better! I would not stay here again
