Faenol Fawr Hotel

The hotel was seeped in history and the staff were very knowledgeable and on hand throughout.

Arrived after long day no Restaurant or evening food ! Not shown on hotels.com ! Lots of green insects in bathroom and loads of mould that said it’s a beautiful place and I slept well so obviously a wedding venue

Upon arrival and driving down the long driveway you have a real sense of being in a manor house setting. Arrivng in the ar park was no disappointment, the building and surroundings were idyllic. Staff were very welcoming and made the check-in process seamless. All throughout the stay the staff were excellent and never too busy to have a chat and tell you about the history of the place. The bedroom was quite basic, everything you need really but could do with a bit of a spruce up with fresh paint and a proper spring clean. The building itself, more so the pub area...was full of character and considering the age of the property the origonal features were amazing. From big inglenook fireplace to wooden beams and ornate staircase to traditional archways near the bar. The bar area is where you have a wonderfully cooked Welsh breakfast with great local produce all served with a smile. Yiu could also help yourself to continental style breakfast with the usual croissants and pastries to cereal and toast. Steeped in history this place was great to visit amd would definitely go back again. Thank you for having us.

The ghost was great. That it was a country manor house. We weren't that keen on the peacocks.

Hotel was lovely but with it being an old building the floors squeaked badly and in the room we were given, there was only one of the windows that would open so the room was stifling hot all the time. We also had a bench below our window so other residents would stop and chat into the night and we couldn’t sleep. We spoke to the hotel management about it and they removed the bench for our second nights stay which was very kind of them.

Shower had Mold. Marks on bedroom wall. Very poor sleep due to everything creaking and doors slamming. Such a shame as beautiful building, friendly staff and beautiful gardens.

Lovely building. We were attending a wedding the food and room were excellent. Bedroom was very clean and modern.

The property was basic with a fridge, microwave and kettle. There were 2 chairs and a tv in a small area. Upstairs there was the bed and bathroom. Bed was too small. The bathroom was clean. The shower was electric and slow and worn with the metal bit that required replacing which was corroded. The area around was beautiful. Breakfast and service was excellent.
