St Mary’s mount was a fabulous house in an exceptional location, albeit a challenge to get through the entrance, with the house being beautifully and tasteful decorated in various styles of the era of the house, with beautifully cared for gardens, our host was very welcoming and gave us a full explanation of the house and local facilities. The breakfast was superb! We had a cooked breakfast alongside the offerings of fruit, cereal toast and juice. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with comfortable bedding, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Thoroughly recommended as a first rate experience, thank you!

The gate was a challenge but this house was designed in the age of horse and cart and we got in ok!

The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked. The views from the loevely garden were fabulous.

The entrance to the drive is so narrow between two stone pillars, you are in danger of scraping the car. The room was far too crammed with "stuff" there was no room to move and the bed was so small for a double, we had to top and tail.

This was our second visit. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the stables due to an influx of guests. We were very happy! We love the quirky-ness of this property & the grounds are amazing. Its a short walk to the town. The breakfast was lovely & the staff are very accommodating. Will be back next year 😊

ארוחת הבוקר הייתה אנגלית ולמי שלא אוהב נקניקיה, שעועית או בייקון נשאר לאכול רק ביצים לאחד החדרים המקלחת והשרותים היו מחוץ לחדר - אני חושב שהיה כדאי לדעת את זה מראש

Staff were incredibly kind and accommodating when our train got cancelled, leaving us to get in at some ungodly hour of the night, and they let us right in with no issue, very kind of them to stay up so late to help us.

Breakfast was just okay, but nothing wrong with that!

The Breakfasts were excellent.., The house looks over the top of the town of Ulverston

Although it was a good size en-suite room c/w a couch.. it could be chilly at night time. and some of the Owners belongings were in the wardrobe..

Hartelijk onthaal, authentieke inrichting, luxueus ligbad, fantastisch ontbijt met veel vers fruit en ingelegde abrikozen!

Oud huis, dus de kamers zijn een beetje gehorig, maar dat hoort erbij.

A very comfortable stay in a lovely old house full of interesting artefacts. We had a sitting room attached to our bedroom which we hadn't expected and it was great to have. Karen was so friendly and attentive and the breakfast was very good- freshly cooked and plenty of variety. Highly recommend.
