Haigs Hotel

It looked lovely and the room was a great size. Bath was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The only real downside was the bed. It was very hard and uncomfortable.

I've stayed twice now, both times I've been woken up by someone else at the hotel at 6am

The room stank as if someone had used the toilet without using extractor fan. Dined in restaurant. A theme night. Later in the evening became ill with stomach cramps. Spent the night in bathroom being sick and with severe diarrhoea. Had to leave at 7.30, couldn't find any staff.

Excellent breakast: cereal, fruit and yoghurt on offer before a great full English, followed by toast and jam or marmalade. Comfortable bed and more than adequate en suite bathroom. Convenient and quiet location near to village centre with plenty of car parking.

Upstairs corridors could do with a fresh coat of paint.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast. Not more i can add for only one night.

Adjacent room noise could be heard, but not excessively.
