The staff are good but not enough, having to wait for dinner and breakfast while they call more staff in is a real concern. You base staff off of your reservations, it’s simple
We loved the hotel, and it’s obvious that they really try to keep high standards. There’s a few imperfections, but there’s also a few nice newer touches as well. The staff was exceptional! Our dog was treated like a king everywhere, even went to his first pub! Nice patio with a gorgeous view from our room, with very comfortable beds and pillows. There’s a great little bakery down the street and fun place to walk around. We would stay again.
Lovely property in the White Shell. Was just passing through on the way east. Should stay longer the next time so we can swim in Falcon Lake.
The room was comfortable and staff friendly. I found the site restaurant quite pricey for what was on offer.
This property was an excellent find! Quiet clean room. Comfy bed. Ample parking. Great find for a place to stay between Winnipeg, Mb and Kenora, On.
Great brealfast and lounge /bar
The renovation is great, lobby very nice, great pool area if you have kids, I was looking for a hot tub post golf game and hot tub is not yet operational (was told same when I stayed there in Feb for snow shoeing). We were given room 306 - opens up to beer vendor entrance (gross view) and the place where staff smoke so we could not open the door or window unless we wanted to smell cigarette smoke. Also were disappointed the upstairs restaurant wasn't open (apparently it is never open Monday, yet there was a large group function going on??), bar didn't seem appetizing or staffed so we ended up back at the golf course to eat which was fine. Given the price and experience, we decided we would go on to Kenora and try the hotel there next time, or just drive back to Winnipeg.
It was ok ,but not great.
Location was great for getting to the beach area and close to the local small town. All within walking distance. Enjoyed the backyard setup. Fun games to play and nice fire pits to sit around. The indoor pool area could use some fixing up still. Also wish the bathroom doors had locks on them. Otherwise it was a great stay and staff was wonderful.
The check- in process was horrible. We ended up there early, but no early checkins and had to wait for 4pm exactly for a room The lady upfront was rude
