Hampton Inn Concord/Kannapolis

Hotel was nice, check in was pleasant, coffee all day and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but the area needed a better wipe-down. Plenty around for restaurant options.

The clerk was lazy, didn’t want to assist with anything. We drove five hours to check into a room unpack and go get our shower. The toilet is filled with feces! They had one option and it was not big enough for our party. We had to locate another hotel entirely and pay out of pocket with no apologies. Coinciding with an almost adamant refusal to assist in getting my funds back, for the room. He ended up helping. We got lucky and found a room at the last minute but we didn’t get rewards from it as we always stay Marriott or Hilton. Never in my life have I seen a toilet that “passed inspection” yet have explosive Diahrrea “caked” to the inside. My daughter almost sat on that disgusting thing!! Would never recommend to anyone to stay there. EVER!

Everything was great

This is my second stay here and my second bad experience. Upon arrival the system showed my card as declined but the payment had gone through and my checking account was drained! (Luckily my phone notified me that a payment went through before I tried again and caused more issues.) The manager wouldn't approve our room so we had to stand in the lobby for almost an hour on the phone with my bank. Long and short of it, their system screwed up and didn't show us as charged. It's now going to take a week for my bank to refund the money because their system glitched. And I had to pay twice. The water was so hot, it was scalding. I had the faucet on "cold" and it was still hot. When I informed the front desk, the lady kept saying, "Oh yeah, it's hot." I let her know that could be a lawsuit if a baby is exposed to water that hot and she dismissed my concern. Another lady said it's an ongoing problem. If you have a hazardous situation like this, you should inform the customers upon arrival and place warning signs around. This is negligence. Half the channels on the TV were out of signal or kept glitching. The food wasn't great, considering this is supposed to be a Hilton location (it gave Best Western vibes, at best.) And there is no water available at all? Anywhere? It's great you've got coffee available, but a water station would help. I don't want to spend $4 for a bottle of water. And the water coming from the faucet was HOT! Get it together, Hampton. Not a great stay. Not returning.
