I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boca Raton and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. I arrived Friday evening around 7:30 PM after checking in online and selecting my room in advance. At no point was I notified that my chosen room was unavailable. Upon arrival, I was informed there were “mechanical issues,” and the room I selected was no longer an option. While I understand that issues can arise, the lack of communication beforehand was frustrating, especially given the late arrival time. I was initially assigned - room on the second floor which was completely unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, the condition of the room was shocking. The carpet was heavily stained throughout, the room felt very outdated, and overall cleanliness was far below expectations. The bed skirts were tucked awkwardly, exposing the box springs, the bathroom sink was cracked, and the balcony view was essentially nonexistent- overlooking what appeared to be the top of the entryway. I immediately contacted the front desk to request a different room. While I was reassigned to another room on the fourth floor, the issues persisted. Again, the carpet was visibly stained and unclean, creating an overall unpleasant and unsanitary environment. When I inquired about the condition, I was told the hotel is in the process of renovations and the carpets have not yet been replaced. However, ongoing renovations do not excuse the lack of basic cleanliness. Paying guests should not be placed in rooms with visibly dirty and stained carpets. Additionally, the service lacked professionalism and empathy. The staff member who assisted me was not particularly courteous, and there was little acknowledgment of the inconvenience or effort to make the situation right. The only redeeming aspect of the property is the lobby and restaurant area, which appear to be better maintained. Unfortunately, once you leave that space, the condition of the guest rooms does not match the standard one would expect. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience. I would not recommend this hotel and would strongly encourage management to address both cleanliness and customer service issues, especially during renovations.

As in, "Who ya gonna believe, me or your own eyes?" We have slept for decades on a king mattress at home. When we travel we always get a king. When we made this reservation, it was for a king. When we got the digital confirmation for the room that afternoon, it was for a king. We got up to the room and dumped our luggage then went down to the managers reception, which was poor. The staff rarely refilled the chips and other food, so we went out to eat. Came back and went to bed. Something was not quite right. In the morning light it was a queen not a king. As evidenced by the six inches of mattress pad hanging over the edge, and me being able to hang my feet and head over each end. The balcony was small dirty, and totally unappealing. The lock was broken and they screwed in a u-shaped replacement. Really, guys? Is that up to code? Does the code enforcement people know about this? Rusting around the edges of the shower. No folding luggage rack in the closet or anywhere in the room. HAve you ever been in a room that did not have one? All in all, a tired building and it shows. So when we check out the front desk says Oh no that is a king room. Like I said Chicago rules. Embassy used to be the top of the lesser chains in the Hilton family, but that was yesterday. Choose wisely as Yoda says. Choose another hotel in Boca, you will be glad you did.

My family and I used to stay here about 8 years ago when I attended FAU, so we decided to come back while my sister was touring the school. Unfortunately, our experience this time was really disappointing. The staff was kind and the lobby looks beautiful, but that’s honestly where the positives ended. The first room we were given hit us with a strong wave of humidity and a mildew smell the second we opened the door, it felt like the room had been closed up for years. There was visible dust everywhere, and it didn’t seem like it had been properly cleaned or used in a long time. We went to the front desk and requested another room. While the second room smelled slightly better, it still wasn’t clean. There was dust throughout the space and even leftover trash from previous guests. The balcony had a puddle of stagnant green water, and to make matters worse, one of the beds had a large wet spot from what appeared to be a leak from the ceiling. At that point, we decided to go back to the front desk and request a refund and ended up staying elsewhere. For the price this hotel charges, we expected a much higher level of cleanliness and upkeep. It’s really unfortunate because we had great memories here, but this visit did not reflect that at all.
