Quality Inn Mauston I-90

Bed was good. In spite of the damp feeling in the room, the towels did not smell musty. Maintenance DID respond when we reported the sink not draining, and it was fixed neatly.

Fixtures were rusty from age and humidity, probably partially caused by the indoor pool moisture. Lamp bases were dusty. It was our fault for not noticing sooner that the air conditioner had a setting that would've removed the moisture from the room.

The front desk was very helpful!

The room was very humid and we were not near the pool. Worst bed I’ve had in a hotel yet. Stayed 7 days on day 5 smelled a dirty sock/feet smell coming out of AC unit. Room always humid. Told front desk. Very concerning for mold in the AC unit! The best thing about our stay was the breakfast which had hot food not just continental.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable! Bathroom needed handrails in shower. Would like it if housekeeping would check room each day and empty wastebaskets and pick up dirty wet towels and provide clean ones! Oh! No elevator not very well mentioned when booking! Can’t do stairs very well and thankfully a young man in line behind me offered to switch rooms which was greatly appreciated!

The room was excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well, with waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Pet friendly. The hotel facilities were less than ideal, however. We were placed on the second floor and there was no elevator. I read the property details carefully, but I don’t recall an alert to let us know about the elevator. We booked the room three months in advance, and requested a 1st floor room. So we weren’t put on the 2nd floor because we were late arrivals. My husband and I are older folks, so carrying our luggage and provisions for the dogs up the stairs was a real hardship.
